When I was a kid and we went to my grandma's for tea, she'd always serve sliced cucumber in vinegar. You never see that anymore. When did people stop doing that?

My Gran did the same but it also had slices of raw onion in too. Haven’t seen it elsewhere else in over 40 years tbh.

You know, I think mine did too.

It's not my fault you're not a fan of intellectual conversations.

My daughter eats cucumber soaked in balsamic vinegar, I think she got the idea from her great grandma. She loves it!

I'm disappointed Line-X.

Anyone seen somebody abandon a shopping trolley at the checkout belt before? Didn't irritate me enough to "grind my gears" (though it was annoying to move the trolley to an empty checkout so we could unload our stuff), but the woman in front of us did this earlier.

Very odd behaviour. Just ditches the trolley for someone else to deal with, then struggles her way out of the supermarket with heavy bags. Weird.

Almost a good segue in terms of people's self awareness. The vast majority of us do things because we don't want to be judged or know it's the "right thing to do," such as putting the trolley in the return bay thing, or parking within the lines in a car park.

People who do the exact opposite like this lady, do they have any self awareness? Does she know people will see her do that and either tut, find it odd or get annoyed? If so, does she have such a thick skin she doesn't care? I just find that type of petty, small "I'm alright Jack" way of living almost like another world, but many seem to float along with it.

Yeah quite. I should have been more wound up, but the image of her struggling off with her shopping sort of made up for it.

I probably don't need to say I'd have been apoplectic.
