I think that's a totally predictable starting X1 from Brendan. 

 

I never expected to see Barnes or Under after they played 90 in midweek. 

 

Like others, I want to see four at the back, but I can't see it happening until Soyuncu, Ricardo, Castagne etc  are fit

Why is everyone saying 5 at the back ?! It’s a back 3....3-4-3....as long as the wing backs are progressive and advanced like they were vs Sheff Utd and not defensively minded like Fulham, then all good. When we play the 4-1-4-1, we might as well call it 4-5-1 if your going to call a 3-4-3 a back 5

It's the personnel more than the formation for me. Thomas at left wing back and Justin instead of Fuchs and it looks a bit better. More balance.

The Fulham game was more of a back 3 than a back 5 in the first half, wonder if the wing backs will be as high.

 

If we play with positive intent it doesn't need to be a negative team.

I don't like 5 at the back either, but we have 3 games this week, Everton midweek then Spurs next weekend. Of those fixtures if you were going to play Fuchs and Albrighton together, this is probably the game you'd do it in.

 

Of course when they also play in each of the next two games as well, then my explanation falls to pieces!
