Much better today than we have been in any home game for about a year. First time we’ve had Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison available for some time and Justin doing a passable impression of Ricardo.

 

Second goal was one of the best team goals I can remember us scoring.

I've always rated Shearer as a summariser, even way back when he started. He's honest and calls things as they are. He's not obsessed with the big so called six either.

Good solid 3-0 win and a 2nd half training session so hopefully no new injuries and more options for Wednesday and the Xmas fixtures ahead, some players getting rested some are nearer fitness and some getting game time in their legs add other results going our way and a decent weekend all in all

To Err on the side of caution I remember people laughing at us being,was it 16 points above Man U last season.

Yep that has to be the lesson, because the game went from being a powerleague game which could have ended 5-5 to a game where dominated and completely controlled Brighton.

 

It was noted that before the game Toure was drilling the back 4 that the change might happen, and credit to the manager he did make the change. Just a shame he didn't do that against Fulham! Ah well, still a great league position to be in!

Only their fourth start since the start of January last year!! ( we won that 3-0 as well).

Agreed. They actually talked about us and analysed our team, demonstrating some knowledge of our players. Rather than Sky who spend 29 of the 30 minutes of build up to our games talking about whichever big 6 club happens to be in crisis at the time, followed by a minute of misinformed tosh about us focused on how we play on the counter.

Excellent performance after the tactical change. I really hope the penny has finally dropped with Brendan and 5 at the back, it only works about 4/5 times in a league season.

Must be our 2nd best ever start to a top flight season. In 2015/16 we had 25 points after 12 games but were in the same position 3rd as we are today.
