Best tactic against these lot is to hurl the ball forward to see how well they can defend at the back

Seemed to be a suspiciously quick decision that. Sometimes they take an age but somehow decided that was offside within seconds.

Can't argue with the ruling. But the rule itself is ridiculous. Change it back to daylight.

VAR needs binning. It simply takes away from the game - adds nothing. Sport is human and errors come with that. 

 

But before VAR we would've looked at the replay of Maddison's goal and 100% of those seeing would've said he was onside.

I've quite passionately defended the use of technology in offside so far. I think it's really frustrating that people lose sight of the fact it doesn't matter where you draw the line or how you write the rule, there always ahs to be a time where you're offside by a millimeter. 

 

However, I cannot see how Madders was offside there at all even after they drew the line that's ****ing ridiculous. 

 

Mabs will be rolling his eyes at me but if that's Rashford going through against someone it gets given straight up. That was mental.
