If he doesn't go this month, he'll really have to impress from now at LCFC or he's wasting his time.

Not really. He can sit out his last 6 months and pick up a nice salary elsewhere in the summer.

There's managers out there who will think they can get a tune out of him. If he goes anywhere this month, it'll just be a loan I suspect.

Hes running down the clock anyway so will be gone in a few months. The club wont retain him.

I'd love to understand his logic. Remain here and his career stays stalled until next season. Or go now and get the re-boot going? By next season he will have barely played footie in a year. Will that not diminish his stock further and limit his options to lesser teams. Or get out quick whilst some still remember he plays footie and has some talent.

...not too sure it matters.....!!!

He will get a big fat signing on bonus at his new team, I would not be surprised if a pre-contract has not already been signed.

Don't pre-contracts get announced?

If he has signed for another team already it has to be a team from abroad. I don’t think you can sign for a English team yet.

All the talk of Spurs, Porto etc. wanting him but no bid. Will be funny when he ends up at Middlesbrough or Watford.

Swap Gray for Cantwell at Norwich.

I liked Cantwell in Norwich's stint in the PL but I dont think hes at our level.

Why would Norwich go for that when they can sign Gray for nothing?

Or is Cantwell doing exactly what Gray is?

I don't rate either of them that highly.

He'll go where the biggest paycheck is, of course.

If he was bothered about game time he'd have left us two years ago.

Not as good as he thinks he is.

Leverkusen interested apparently:

sources: Leverkusen are interested in signing Demarai Gray . The 24-y.o. attacking winger plays no role at Leicester, will be a free agent in summer. Talks opened & negotiations on between #LCFC and Bayer. But: Foxes want at least €2 Mio

On his day, brilliant. Just has very few brilliant days, either because of attitude, lack of application, doesn’t listen to instructions thus not being a team player... no idea as to what goes on in another persons head or behind the scenes, but another player who hasn’t and I doubt will ever hit their ceiling.
Shame - talent is nothing without effort kids!

There's very little incentive for a club to come in and take him now, they'll have to pay some kind of fee, even a nominal one and what's the point? They'll be getting a player hugely lacking in match fitness who isn't going to really get up to speed in time to make an impact this year.

But if they're a foreign club they can sign a pre contract agreement with him now to take him on a free with no compensation to us because he's too old. They get him at the end of the season so he gets to come in to pre season training with the rest of the squad and new signings and start bonding and settling.

Plus, they get to kick any payments to him, even if just wages, down the road to the next financial year.
