Celtic need to be a bit more sensible and then it gets done.

...I don't think they have actually set a price!!!

£15-20m would be most they would be looking to get, with 18 months left on his contract. Their season seems to be over and not much to gain, sure a new manager will be in place at the end of the season, they really need to start to rebuild now.

Go get him. Vardy was horrible tonight.

Reckon Vardy might storm it Tuesday night. Either a 10/10 or 3/10 performance. He will be desperate.

Edouard left his agent to get a new one to try and push for a move away from Celtic. Would absolutely love him he's averaging a goal every game/ game and a half or something crazy like that. Its obvious that were in the race for him but I feel if we can settle him in for a few years then maybe he could be the long term replacement for vardy????  Its obvious the nacho isn't the man to fill the role lol

I genuinely believe Barnes is the closest stop gap we've got for Vardy, he played blinding centrally for West Brom and he's our quickest forward by a country mile, he'd fit like a glove at no 9 if Vardys out. Wishful thinking and maybe I sound a bit mad to some but 🤔

Completely agree.

But then that leaves us without a left winger.

Justin could play further forward, or Thomas. Indeed it is going to be a squeeze to fit Ricardo, Castagne and Justin all in the team, yet they all deserve a place.

Think they're possibly easier to find than a goal scorer that would fit into the team, and understand what we're trying to achieve at the the Club.

I’m not sure he would be suited up top, he’s better at getting the ball and running at people, at WBA he played just behind Rodriguez and Gayle.

No harm in trying I guess but I prefer him where he is.

Barnes doesn’t understand about making the runs that vards does - he doesn’t have the same instincts. Nor does he understand how to split defenders to avoid having to chase so hard when pressing.  Can that be coached?  Maybe, maybe not.

It definately CAN be coached. It might not come as naturally as it does Vardy which will require more concentration where Jamie does it without thinking but it can be coached.

excuse my clumsiness .....of course it can be coached but the player has to take it in and also be able to put it into practice ....

nothing I’ve seen of Harvey up top has shown me that he is anywhere close to being ready to make that change ....

When you play as a forward its almost like playing a different sport, you have to have a completely different mindset.

If so, wouldn’t Edouard be ideal as the way to coach him must be a shorter route than a total unknown?
