It`s not looked too good for a few weeks in my opinion.

Apparently grounds team have had tons of work to do at the new training ground so the pitch has received less attention than normal.

It was wetter last autumn and winter and we didn’t seem to have any problems but then there’s a lot of pitches that seem to be struggling a little this year. Although it shows how far pitches have come that it’s deemed on the poor side

Very unusual for us. I don't think this winter has been worse than any other in recent times. Not a great advert for the turf academy.

My back garden’s exactly the same. Main difference, Leicester’s groundsmen don’t have to clean up the dog poo.

Maybe it's tactical to leave it a bit heavier for today and Tuesday. Just the heavy rain hasn't helped on top.

I noticed it was poor when one of our games was on amazon a few weeks ago but didn't know if it was down to a poor picture I was getting through amazon.

 

People making points about the weather are more than valid but we usually keep it pristine and to the highest standard even in the worst weather.

 

Fair point about it not having a full off season and also we'd usually get it relayed during the summer off season.

 

Although didn't we get it relayed during the 1st lockdown, we're a couple of months of that being year appreciated.

Come on it’s rained all week and we get a thread about the pitch, absolutely ridiculous.

The City Groundstaff do a fantastic job and we play on a quality surface.

Is it an unfair observation? With the way we play, a good pitch is vital. We've got another big game on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be better by then.

 

It isn't about blaming anyone, just noting something.

Not true. 
 

They have a dedicated team for the ground that are there day in day out
