Leeds H Post Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Mendy is so average. Passes sideways or backwards and he got bullied in midfield today...had to win that challenge before their third or bring the player down.

Not in the league of Ndidi.

Also I never thought I would say it....but Nacho should start next game

Not only are we prone to conceding from set pieces, we are now prone to conceding from our own set pieces!!

>_<

TBH, I had a premonition and saw that counter coming a mile away...

Once we pushed one more defender up for a Maddison kick that was never going to clear the first defender.

Quite a few not stepping up and hiding in the shadows today.

Dont think the blame lands at anyones door and certainly not Perez for conceeding 3 goals.

For me, most creative players completly netralised.

Barnes, lovely goal but outside of that I can not recall his name baing mentioned and no probing runs, almost nothing came down the left.

Perez, too flakey, not a number 9, and on a hiding to nothing today and cant play that position, shows just how thin we are in that role to not even consider Kelechi.

Maddison, dissapointing for the standard we expect from him as a big time player.. lost in the mix and to many dead balls going to waste.

Difficult when Wilf and Vardy missing. Replacements simply nowhere near their standard.  You can't allow the opposition to outwork you as easily as they did today or that will happen again. Did we actually win any 50/50 tackles today? How many ridiculous unforced petty fouls did we commit? Shit day at the office.

Aside from today we had a flawless record when going ahead?

Exactly this, that post is so reactionary it hurts. We’re gonna play badly and lose games throughout the season, but no a team that took Leicester city into Europe, fought for cups, beat the likes of City, Arsenal, Chelsea will not be considered bottlers, unless by people who’ve only had an interest in Leicester since 2016

3 defensive mistakes cost us. We had more than enough chances to win that game, on another day they go in.

Absolutely ****ing criminal to send everybody up at 2-1 which allowed them to get their third. Jesus ****ing christ.

Yeah, I know that correlation does not equal causation, but that kind of performance and result happens every time another "Can we win the league?" thread is started.

Ha, spot on. It's the problem with this place, we are either winning the league or Rodgers should be sacked. The reality is that emotions cloud fans judgement, and when it feels like we are doing good we probably aren't doing quite as well as most fans think, and when we are doing badly we probably aren't doing quite as badly as most fans think.

Today we were poor, although imo Leeds were excellent. Bad day at the office, and although Wednesday's performance wasn't wholly bad, that's 1 point from a possible 6, which is disappointing. Put it behind us with a better performance midweek - hoping to see Nacho start.

Didn’t really get why we started with a back 4 to begin with as it works to Leeds’ benefit.

But then our first goal was pretty sexy. After that there was too many mental errors from every player bar Kasper (and not just the select few some seem to think on here!).

Thought we looked better in second half. We got pulled apart too easily in their second goal and their third goal would’ve been avoided if Justin hadn’t been called up for the free kick.

Think we miss Ndidi more than Vardy on this evidence as we created enough chances.

That being said, we won’t play a team with as much energy as Leeds other than Liverpool probably.

On people whinging about us being without Vardy and Ndidi. I think we did a little but equally we have coped without either at different stages of the season. In fact in the reverse fixture against Leeds we did an excellent job on them.

Admittedly even when he’s not scoring, Vardy makes excellent runs to open up the space, and N’didi’s range is extraordinary.

We’ve come off second best in this game, but have done pretty well the last 2 months. They just need to give their heads a wobble and regroup for Fulham.

Hopefully the guys that are injured won’t be gone for too long though!

Take Maddison of set pieces he offers nothing for them and can’t even beat the first defender.

Parez offers nothing to the team and runs round like a headless chicken. Can’t dribble, tackle or shoot. Can’t have passengers if we want to challenge for the top 4.

no urgency or desire today and just looked lost all over the pitch.

desperately need a new striker but we won’t get one and watch us drift out the top four like we did last year as we didn’t strengthen.
