Apparently he lost the players back when the lockdown came - there was an argument within the club about going on to a percentage of their wages and he made a public threat about the players using last season as a way of asking for new contracts.

Post match Rodgers said Perez should be back in full training at some point next week and could be back for the match next weekend.

I wonder if Praet could be fit for this? and if he is, would he go straight into the team?

I've never been completely convinced of his importance until this extended absence, I think his smart style of play right now would make a huge difference. 

 

With Iheanacho scoring 2 in 2, it's tricky to drop him, but that's never proved the case so far. 

So, with Iheanacho potentially retaining his place, I'm not so sure Perez comes straight back if he is available. 

 

Assuming, that against a team that has mastered one of the worst campaigns in the Premier League for a while, it would make sense we line up with a familiar shape with little need for a back 3.

Unfortunately can only see us keeping the back 3. Look horrendous defensively but until we have Barnes and Maddison back there is little option. It's the only way Tavares gets another go, and saves Rodgers having to choose between Iheanacho and Vardy. 

 

Need to start quickly for once, otherwise it will probably be another horrible watch
