I've never been completely convinced of his importance until this extended absence, I think his smart style of play right now would make a huge difference. With Iheanacho scoring 2 in 2, it's tricky to drop him, but that's never proved the case so far. So, with Iheanacho potentially retaining his place, I'm not so sure Perez comes straight back if he is available. Assuming, that against a team that has mastered one of the worst campaigns in the Premier League for a while, it would make sense we line up with a familiar shape with little need for a back 3. Schmeichel Castagne Evans Soyuncu Thomas Ndidi Tielemans Praet Iheanacho Albrighton Vardy Even with that team suggestion, there're still plenty of other options available, so hopefully the weeks rest and increased quality options available, we can take the 3 points. Look horrendous defensively but until we have Barnes and Maddison back there is little option. It's the only way Tavares gets another go, and saves Rodgers having to choose between Iheanacho and Vardy.
