then see & note  ,how quick the ball moves between players then how quick their attacking moves are

The games came thick and fast last season at the very end last season.

 

We had a lot more of a break this time since the Brighton game. And also with some favorable fixtures.

 

There's no excuse for what's happened since mid March.

I think, honestly, Liverpool getting 4th instead of West Ham is better for us if we fall away.

The issue is, our inability to step up. We’ve drawn to Southampton and lost badly to Newcastle..... we could have wrapped it up over the last two games but have failed.... how can we be expected to beat two teams far superior and far better at handling these situations than us?

 

We won’t, it’s a simple as that. If we finish in the top four, and I want someone to hold me to this, I will walk to the first game next season wearing a pair of the Mrs. thongs and a derby county hat, and that’s it.
 

It won’t happen. We’re not strong enough or good enough. Which is sick, considering we’ve spent more time in the top four than any other club over the last two seasons. There a serious debrief needed in the summer, what ever the result of that debrief is, it need to involve a bit of a minor shake up. We can’t carry on doing this.

So Liverpool and ourselves can't get top four so by definition you must think West Ham are a shoo in.

Agree with this, we can only compete with Liverpool on the pitch. 

 

We could really do without a West Ham getting there and not us so another team takes a march on us.

1000% - I get the sentiment but another team busting into Rich 6 territory is bad for LCFC, there's no way around that.  

 

People are trying to brush off the Chelsea result as not that big a deal.  I understand because we're all going through a trauma.  But it's actually a massive blow and could be the result as much as any other that denies us CL.  By my math, had Chelsea lost that game, a win vs them would have meant that they would have had to take maximum points and we would had have to lose our other two for them to overtake us.  In other words, as bad as things have been, one result in our last 3 could have been enough to finish above CHE and get CL even if one of WHU / LIV overtook us.  This narrative that they were always going to overtake us and we were always only competing for one spot is false.  Once they beat Man City away, then ya.  Crushing result and really narrows the possibilities for us getting across the line. 

 

It's like watching a car crash in slow motion.  Inevitable but you can't look away.  It's the hope that kills you.
