An Sionnach Posted 28 April 2021 Posted 28 April 2021 (edited) He's a bit like a slightly shorter Crouch , is Tammy ,looks gangly, awkward and not pretty but like the great Pete keeps putting the ball in the net. He would look an oddball in our stylish football team but would we care if he kept scoring. Edited 28 April 2021 by An Sionnach

Didn't work out too shabby, really..... Best player ever, Kieth Weller, The brilliant Chris Garland, Star midfielder Steve Kember, Club icon, Birchenall (via CPFC) and David Webb. Muzzy? 3

SixtiesFox Posted 28 April 2021 Posted 28 April 2021 (edited) How about the great Keith Weller? (Didn't read the previous posts closely enough). Couldn't for the life of me figure out how Chelsea let him go. Remember watching him throughout his time at Leicester. Volleyed one in off a corner against Liverpool if my memory serves; part of a dramatic second half comeback by the Foxes at Filbert St. Pure genius! Edited 28 April 2021 by SixtiesFox

hackneyfox Posted 28 April 2021 Posted 28 April 2021 Muzzy cost £800k, Chelsea must have thought they'd had us over when we paid that. Little did they know ...

When we first enquired about Muzzy we were quoted £60,000 for him. However some daft chap decided we needed to get him on loan first and see how he did. He plays a blinder for us and suddenly the price goes up. It’s a bit of a cliché but they basically added another Zero on the end

I was only covering a really small period of time (early seventies). Of course Muzzy should be included - but there are others whose names I couldn't even bring myself to type (W**e)!

Was fortunate to have seen him play live, truly great player and maybe if he had stayed at Chelsea would have gained the England caps his skill warranted. 1

Ric Flair Posted 2 May 2021 Posted 2 May 2021 The upside to bottling top 4 again if we do, will be we won't spend £40m on the likes of Abraham. 2 1 2
Gazza M Posted 2 May 2021 Posted 2 May 2021 I would negotiate a better price but would welcome this signing. His height would give a slightly different tactic.
