Well that was intense and dramatic. Arsenal will feel hard done, but I actually think the ref got everything right.

Arsenal made Man City look ordinary most of the game, then concede a dumb pen and implodes, but then actually perform really well again only to get their point nicked at the very end.

I can see why Arsenal fans would contest why the Man City penalty was seen fit for VAR to intervene, but not Odegaard's.

Aside from that, there was no issue with the officiating aside from Rodri escaping a booking all game, even though Arsenal fans will make it seem like a scandal

Magic stuff.  Cannot comprehend  Arsenhole finishing top 4

Such statements make me laugh,  who is the cheater,  the shirt puller who is trying to gain a snidy advantage,  or the diver in this situation who is trying to get a just decision.  Hate cheating as much as the next man,  but need ensure the real perpetrators are identified.  PS Man City are culprits when committing those breaking up the play fouls,  should see a yellow every time.

It might make you laugh but I’m a little bit tired of seeing players throw themselves to the floor. There isn’t a need.

Yes the referees should have the balls to call a foul when a player doesn’t go down. The old “if he went down there it’s a pen”, so give a pen…

But things like that Bernardo dive just piss me off. He could easily have stayed on his feet and scored or done something. The dishonesty of it just leaves a bad taste for me. And that’s worse than any shirt pull. Lying, cheating and dishonest.

Probably in the minority, but it’s just how I feel about it.

It was the Arsenal players who lost that game - Gabriel’s idiocy, Martinelli’s missed sitter and Holding’s Vestergaard-like defending at the end. Yes, they played really well in the first half but they imploded in the second. Blaming the officials will give their fans solace but it is only masking the truth.

Arsenal was doing so well, and then they implode like that, Hope you are enjoying it @weller54 :D

I also think the ref has got everything right. You can't pull shirts like that even though Silva dives to get the pen.

Exactly.

If Martinelli slots home the open goal, Gabriel doesn't get sent off and Arsenal are 2-1 up.

We can catch Arsenal and anything that pisses on Liverpool's chips is all good with me.

This is kind of where I'm at. Man Utd will always attract top players even without champions league football.  If Arsenal get top 4 I agree with what you've said as they become more attractive to join.

Arsenal fans were laughing at us as much as any other fan base missing out on the top 4, as they know we were a real threat to them with this squad, manager and club management. F them!

Players jostle and make contact with each other throughout the game, watch every single throw in and corner in a match, you'll see it. I don't them throwing themselves to the floor in these scenarios?

In this instance, if the shirt tug (and let's be honest, he's not ripping his shirt off) is enough to send him off balance then I completely agree. The reality is Silva took a couple more strides and basically flopped to the floor.

It's cheating and it's really sad people are happy to accept it.

What is the defender trying to do here,  if not impede the attacker.  I hate the narrative that defenders are just being professional but attackers are cheats.  Don't we want to see goals??

Thought city were unbelivably lucky to win that

arsenal tatically did a total number on them

But they march on 100 points again methinks for the oil barrons

How is it worse,  the defender is grabbing the shirt of the attacker.  Again I thought as fans we want to see goals scored.

**** me this is painful watching Jake Humphrey here. He’s trying to create controversy where there is none.

Was thinking the same, probably should have looked to the monitor for the first penalty. But, for once, I actually understand Peter Walton's explanation.

Can't stand him, Rio or Keown on BT

Watford look decently organized here, but so low on quality.  They'll replace Claudio, but what manager will be able to do much with this squad?

Probably replace his replacement with a half dozen games to go, to try and time up yet another bounce.
