I would prefer they play that way if we use the same formation we did against Newcastle. Don’t want them coming at our defence! 

 

Newcastle surprised us by actually coming at us, they took advantage of evans being replaced before the game so got at our wobbly defence.

Glad Thomas is back in, was our best player when he came on vs Newcastle. Hopefully Vardy will support him down the left hand side and get Perez pushed up closer to Iheanacho when we attack.

If Sam Martin is correct I’m not overly disappointed, could be a 3 or 4 at the back but I suspect it’s a 3.

Playing 5 a side later so I won't be able to watch the second half. Obviously hoping we can find a result and bounce back but my head tells me we're most likely going to buckle under the pressure. Plus the fact we've not won at United in the league for 23 years. Almost as long as I've been alive. Dreading this game tbh.

If we are playing wingbacks, Thomas is a must because it opens the pitch up. When we have a right footer at LWB, the play goes central too much - teams just pack the midfield and the no.10 can't get any space. Having Albrighton alone at RWB will help Kele

Takes revenue away from Liverpool as well, plus just allows Man U to get a step ahead of Liverpool in the transfer market. Lots of benefits to Man U for Liverpool failing to make top 4

Speaking to a few United fans they reckon it’s wholesale changes. Ole said those who play tonight will not play on Thursday. So he’s predicting some academy players with one or two first team names. Could be a very interesting line up.
