If they've got a bunch of backups playing, along with a handful of first-choice players who played on Sunday and might play again on Thursday, all the more reason to sit in and ensure the game doesn't become too stretched. I would prefer they play that way if we use the same formation we did against Newcastle. Don’t want them coming at our defence! Newcastle surprised us by actually coming at us, they took advantage of evans being replaced before the game so got at our wobbly defence.
Ric Flair Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Glad Thomas is back in, was our best player when he came on vs Newcastle. Hopefully Vardy will support him down the left hand side and get Perez pushed up closer to Iheanacho when we attack. 4
Eskay Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Gotta go for this - stay focussed at the back and move the ball with speed up top. If we want to dine at the top table of football - this is exactly the sort of dinner party we need to crash.
FoxesWalk Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 If Sam Martin is correct I’m not overly disappointed, could be a 3 or 4 at the back but I suspect it’s a 3. Glad we won’t be carrying a half fit Maddison, hopefully he can come on towards the end and make an impact vs tired legs. Has been poor for a while now.
Haywood_6 Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Playing 5 a side later so I won't be able to watch the second half. Obviously hoping we can find a result and bounce back but my head tells me we're most likely going to buckle under the pressure. Plus the fact we've not won at United in the league for 23 years. Almost as long as I've been alive. Dreading this game tbh.
filbertway Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Man U must be putting out a proper weak team as our price keeps coming in. Punters in the know must be getting in on the action 2

Glad Perez starts (not a phrase often used on FT!) and slightly disappointed - but not at all surprised - that Praet doesn't. Madders likely to be a sub at Wembley then. Vardy hanging on to a starting place by the slightest of threads. He really isnt. As i have said a few times. If Vardy is fit, he starts.
CosbehFox Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 If we are playing wingbacks, Thomas is a must because it opens the pitch up. When we have a right footer at LWB, the play goes central too much - teams just pack the midfield and the no.10 can't get any space. Having Albrighton alone at RWB will help Kele

Know the feeling. It’s amazing how two rubbish performances/results have suddenly transformed our end-of-season excitement into utter dread. 3

Takes revenue away from Liverpool as well, plus just allows Man U to get a step ahead of Liverpool in the transfer market. Lots of benefits to Man U for Liverpool failing to make top 4 1

goose2010 Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 It's not unchanged. Thomas in for Ricardo, Perez for Maddison
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 So the two claimed ITK line up leakers have different teams for tonight. Someone's getting rumbled 1

Pliskin Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Speaking to a few United fans they reckon it’s wholesale changes. Ole said those who play tonight will not play on Thursday. So he’s predicting some academy players with one or two first team names. Could be a very interesting line up. 1
