Christian Fuchs Leaving

[Izzy]

There's something very special and unique about Fuchs for me.

I rarely these days feel any emotional connection with players, but it's different with Fuchs. I can't really explain it, but he's got some sort of X factor in my eyes - almost like I know him.

He's one of those blokes who oozes positivity, authenticity, humor, and humility. Just a great guy and a wonderful pro.

I'll really miss him and I don't think we can underestimate his impact on our club both off and on the pitch.

One of my all time favorites. I think I actually love him a little bit

[evil jack]

His youtube channel during the 15/16 season had all sorts of hilarious stuff on it. My kids loved it.

He must be an amazing guy to just be around - seems like the happiest man on Earth.

The only thing missing from the FA Cup final as a few minutes on the pitch for Fuchs.

Legend, end of a era.

[Jonezy]

What a legend. Wish him all the best.

Probably the best LB we've ever had? That 15/16 season was unreal, every week he was a solid 8 and never put a foot wrong. His pass for Vardys record breaking goal against United as well.

All the best Christian!

Agree. What a legend. Culturally he helped to make Leicester today. Sat on the bench selflessly while watching Chilwell - must have been tough when I still think he was way better than Chilwell but he is always the team first. Will miss Fuchs.

Legend

[TrentFox]

As with Wes, an absolute superstar. An attitude that every player entering the game today could learn from. Gave us his all every time he stepped on the pitch and a great presence around the club. Legend.

[Jattdogg]

This guy is the chill fun one that we'd all love to be playing for Leicester.

A hero to me and a lovely man. Come play with TFC for a season mate its not too far from NYC!

All the best!

[21st Century Fox]

When he signed and then Nige left straight afterwards he must've wondered what the hell he'd gotten himself into! What a career he's had here!

[lgfualol]

Legend. Good luck to him, wonder what he will do now.

What a character and player. I can’t remember which game it was but there was a great moment of post goal celebration between him and Okazaki 😄😄

[lifted*fox]

top guy on the pitch and off it by all accounts

No one asks that now!!

All the best to a Fuching legend!!!

[sharpylcfc]

Thank you Christian. Leicester legend!

As a US based supporter, I hope he does play in MLS. He's apparently not retiring so I'm wondering whether we'll see an announcement soon?

This is how much he loves us as a club - when visiting his family in New York State he'd regularly visit the Football Factory in Manhattan to watch matches with the New York Foxes.

That’s me holding the shirt with Fuchs the Sunday after we beat Man City en route to the title. Knowing how good of a guy he is and how much he absolutely loves the club makes me even prouder to count myself as a supporter.

So many great stories from that night (and the other photos in that tweet!) but I’ll share this one with everyone.

We had other plans that evening but wound up spending most of the evening over pints at Duffy’s (yep!). At one point in the night, two older winos at a the next table noticed my accent and asked me where I was from.

Me: I’m from New York.

Them: Why the f*** are you here, then?

Me: I’m here for the football and to be in Leicester!

Chris: (jokingly) Don’t you know who he is? He’s the number one Leicester guy in New York!

We got back to own our conversations for a few minutes before the guys interrupted again.

Them: (to Chris) Wait. You have an accent. Where the f*** are you from?

Chris: I’m from Austria.

Them: Then why the f*** are you here?

Me: Don’t you know who he is? He’s the number one Leicester guy in Austria!

Them: We have a defender from Austria.

Chris: I heard!

Them: Come to think of it, you look a bit like him.

Me: Well, they’re both from Austria.

Them: Ah, that explains it!

Can’t say enough about the guy. Great dude, helluva player, a model pro, and a lot of fun. They don’t make many like him and we were damn lucky to have him.

[Vlad the Fox]

A true pro, fantastic player, and never let us down. Especially over the last year or two, would always be ready and do a great job for us when called upon. Loved his pineapple pen videos on YouTube with Okazaki.

Remember this, boooooom.

[kingfox]

So many great memories, thank you Christian 💙

Wouldn’t surprise me if he went to the MLS
