you think we won't either next season or the one after? Be serious.

maybe the season after next but not next summer, he'd cost £100m lol no one is paying that

Playing devils advocate but what would people be willing to accept.

30m + Trincao?

Would mean we could effectively get 2 cbs and a RW for the price of Cags. Don’t get me wrong I think he’s an awesome defender and not sure I want to sell him. But if we go back to 4 at the back, and if Fofana is therefore ahead of him in the pecking order. Then replacing a « rotation » option, if you can call him that, albeit a very good one, for a starting RW, and 2 decent CB’s is maybe not such a bad deal...

I’d rather just keep Soyuncu over anything else to be honest. Our best move we can make this summer is keeping all of our important players.

A packet of crisps and a reacharound.

Is he really one of our best players though? There aren’t many players I would rather lose if we had to to strengthen than Cags.

He seems to lose his head whenever he doesn’t play next to Evans and with him getting on a bit that’s more likely next season than this. £45-50m and I would sell for sure.

I think so, we wouldn’t have won the FA Cup final without his outstanding performance.

I’d feel more confident with Cags at centre half going into next season than any potential new signing we could make to replace him.

To be fair, it's rarely just about the player you lose, it's also about what the playing leaving facilitates, as we as much as anyone see this as a modus operandi.

Sure I would prefer Caglar to stay and suspect this is just a contract renewal move, but the loss of a player, in the right circumstances, is an opportunity and one we have been fairly adept at capitalising on.

Equally, his rash clearance that hit Chilwell nearly contributed to us losing it as well and he has made many of them strange clearances into dangerous areas before then.

Dont get me wrong, he has been great for us but I would rather keep 9 out of the starting 11 over him is what I’m saying.

For me Cags is an extremely important part of the team & we would be crazy to let him go. One of our goals this season should be to win the Europa & Cags is tailor made for Europe.

His injuries slowed him down a touch last season but if healthy he is we will see his best again.

You have to ask for extra so something to lose in the negotiations, otherwise I might just get left in a room on my own with a stiffy again.

We were apparently willing to offer 40M for Trincao. If that's true, we'd be lucky if Barca give us 10-15M + Trincao. Who can we possibly get for that price to replace Cags? I can't even believe our own fans think Tarkowski is on par with Cags. He's head and shoulders above him.

Bit much. I don’t think he’s THAT much better than Caglar.

Yeah some of his performances this season have been good (Liverpool) and some have been absolutely dreadful (Newcastle and Spurs)
