England ain't beating Italy.

They will scrape through tonight and probably lose to Denmark in the semis

Then again they might scrape through all 3 & win the bloody thing...

Just to upset Mr Raj...:jump:

It’s not Pickford being interviewed - media trained, FA PR answers. The media guy gets the questions, answers them and tells the players what to say.

It makes you wonder what would happen if the players refused to do that, maybe they wouldn't be allowed to be interviewed?, it's all very weird, you hear of all these big personalities but in front of the camera they're all robots.  Not sure i could act hat way.

Going to be a real tests this. Ukraine will be well up for it and will be all over us like a rash. Approach this with an ounce of complacency and they will do us.

Very harsh from Richard Keys?

We haven’t failed IF we reach the final but lose to Italy or Spain in my view .

https://richardajkeys.com/index.php/blog/289-southgate-has-failed-if-england-don-t-win-the-euros

Sample Richard Keys opinion from that article: “Southgate and England have got it all on against Germany and to be honest, I haven’t seen anything at this tournament to make me believe that they can win the game.”

Early leaks say Sancho and Mount starting tonight.

Sancho straight in after sighing for Man Utd then

Also seen a hint that Foden starts too, can't work out what on earth the team would be then unless Sterling is rested.

Unless he plays foden deeper in the Phillips role.

Can't see him resting Sterling from the start.

I mean, I think that too. The diving and play acting from Italy last night was just embarrassing.

I don’t like cheating - I really don’t. I know that it has become part of the game, but the Italians took it to another level last night. It was a shame as they’re clearly a brilliant team.

It’s a bit weird to attribute my dislike of play acting to some childhood trauma. I might just as usefully say that your apparent admiration for cheating owes something to the lack of values that your parents taught you - but that would just be silly.

Italians win trophies, they play good solid football they cheat sometimes.

England win feck all and play sh1t football- perhaps they should get a mean streak mentality.

I tell my kids to win at sport and IF they need to cheat to win so be it.

Your happy with your values,I'm happy with mine.

What about the actual football they played...probablybthe best by far in the competition?

It's like a championship heavyweight boxer who every now and again hits below the belt.

This is sport at the top level.

It's called winning stuff

What about the guy for some reason was pretending to be injured in the box then got up when they scored? That was pathetic

It WAS pathetic 100%.

I was partly outraged and partly laughing.

Gotta laugh at it really.

At the end of the day it's been going on for decades and will NEVER stop.

Embrace it to win trophies IF you need to else stop moaning, play the gentleman's way and win nothing.

It's fair enough that you accept cheating as part of sport. But surely you don't really see it as a 'value'?
