Should beat these quite comfortably . They looked alright in the group stages and a bit okay against Sweden. But nothing to lose sleep over.

England looked alright in the group stages and a bit OK against Germany. I wouldn't be too confident.

As much as I hate watching England this euros because its boring and tepid to watch, im beginning to think we are playing these games to perfection.  We have turned into 90s and 00s Italy

Likely temp in Rome sat 9pm will be between 25 and 28c

a very different experience to the past few games

does he rotate and trust the others with a view to having fitter players return for the semi and final ??

if he is prepared to use all five subs then perhaps he doesn’t have to rotate too much but he does have to make changes sooner and in larger numbers than he usually does.

You’re trying a bit too hard now. If you’re really not as arsed about England as you claim, why are you constantly posting about them?

So England are an international powerhouse with a stacked trophy cabinet? Or at least have been to loads of finals?

It's only the English who think England are a big team.

That's got nothing to do with who the manager is or how they play.

Historically, they aren't one of the big nations.

It's a bit of a dilemma - noticed a few England players going down with cramp in the Germany game.

Having said that, the Ukraine team probably have a few more crocked.

Could be a 6-0  or a 1-2

Exciting times.

Perhaps Gareth’s plan is to actually bore the opposition to death and until they switch off and concede. Genius.

Worked for Spain for 3 tournaments in a row.

2 teams who finished 3rd in their groups and a team who finished second with 3 points after losing 2 games, albeit with difficult circumstances. That's what we have to beat to reach a final, you'd take that wouldn't you.

Doesn't mean it will be easy, and we will have to show more creativity.

Ukraine looked ok at times but you'd like to think their defence couldn't handle us if we dared to attack them. Ideal situation is we start fast then can manage legs but no doubt it will be a long night.

No support, locals will be against this you'd expect, warm night, makes it a challenge.

I think we will beat these comfortably, not so sure about the Danes or the Czechs.

can see it now England win the Euros and the majority of fans still moan 'yeah we didn't win it in style though'

Fair play to Southgate he has done something no other England manager has done for years and that's get and England team to win important games. If Spain / Belgium or any of the other teams had got to the last 8 without conceding a goal everyone would be be losing their mind over their manager and team but because its Southgate no one likes it!

Saturday will be a test but i expect him to bring a few fresh faces in.

If you don't like him or England don't bother watching, life's to short to watch TV you don't actually enjoy.

So in my attempt to put it this into Leicester terms :D

We've beat Southampton 1-0 at home. Drew 0-0 with Palace. Beat Burnley 1-0. Beat Everton 2-0 at home. Now we've got Brighton at a Neutral ground for a chance to play Villa or Burnley at home in the semi's.

As I’ve said before, I’ll take the boredom if we get to the semis …….

otherwise I’d rather be entertained and go out in the last sixteen …..

Most people don't really recognise his work and his ideas. He knows what England were all about and why they failed over and over.

Yesterday's tactics were perfect. He knew that Low would play the same formation (as he has been stubborn with the 3-4-3). So what he did was match that man for man and trust that the England players had better quality man for man (which they do), he trusted his players and it made the difference. When formations match, it nullifies the game and allows key moments/players to make the difference.

Of course you need that slice of luck too but England seem to have that at the moment. I would be surprised if the final does not involve England, it would be a major shock. Even then, the final will be more than winnable whoever gets there, home advantage etc.

Italy or Spain in the final would make for a good game. Italy have been excellent and Spain can turn it on but are not as perfect as they have been during their successful spell.

No one wants to see Belgium vs Czech Republic in the final.
