Arsenal fans are genuinely mental aren't they?

Looking at the posts above this I’m not sure we have a leg to stand on tbh 🤣

Simon Murphy has had to change his account to private because of this...

No i don't. I have a feeling your're about to tell me.

Because it used to be the major cab rank in the Victorian era and from there you could get to every street in the city.

Streets in an old large city like Leicester often have names that mean something....

I think Madders will only be sold if Rodgers agrees to it. And I think Rodgers will only agree to it if we are confident we can use the money to get our main targets in ASAP. If we could quickly strike a deal for a cb, winger and a central attacking player, using the money then I could see it happening. If there are no deals on the horizon then I think we will keep him. Still a long way to go in the window and the good thing is we don't have to sell so we won't be forced into it late in the window, so long as he doesn't throw in a transfer request, which I doubt he will.

Sell Maddison for £60m

sign Lingard for £30m

Different types of players but lingard gets in great attacking areas and has an eye for goal..

we will still have Youri /Harvey and hopefully a nee RW as creative players

Shin pads have caused me to have horrendous dermatitis on my shins, think there needs to be a better solution.

My daughter suffers really badly with eczema, so much so that her shins would be red raw after a match and itching like mad so she’d scratch them which only made it worse. Bought her these mitre aircell a couple of seasons back and she hasn’t had a problem since.  They’re only about £6/7 as well and you can get them with ankle supports if you want.

Love it, despite all the nonsense that gets posted on these transfer threads every now and then a little nugget like this gets posted. Love walking round city’s looking at street names and wondering about the history behind them. London is fascinating for this.

That just sounds like nuts to me :)

Todd Cantwell's contract ends in 1 year. I'd only consider selling Maddison for £80M and getting Cantwell for £20M, Berardi for £40M and Tarkowski for £15M. Otherwise it's a no from me.

Norwich have the option to extend that contract by a year, I think they might be tempted!

Thanks for this mate. Yeah mine are the same, can’t keep putting steroid cream on them as the skin is so thin.

I’ve played tonight with some really small shin pads and, although only early days, they have been fine but if it continues I’ll take a look at these.

Arsenal have proposed a player-plus-cash deal for Leicester City and England midfielder James Maddison. The Gunners are said to be reluctant to pay the £60m asking price for the 24-year-old, so will offer a player as part of the bid. (football.london)

Saka + £50mill. Cheers lads.

....Leicester is a very interesting place with its own history that we tend to ignore!!!

The major part of our lack of appreciation is the old buildings which tells their own stories. We walk around and do not tend to look up, and that is where you will find a great deal of the history in respect of architecture and fascinating sculptures adorning buildings we take for granted.

Well that is nice and simple. Cough up or fuchs off. You just paid 50m for a untried CB - so you do the maths Arsenhole.

Been reported by Romano in the Guardian so might be more substance than initially I thought to this:

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2021/aug/03/arsenal-want-james-maddison-leicester-midfielder-open-to-move

But the content is more flaky than Romano’s usual stuff and isn’t far off what he said previously about Arsenal’s interest, except Maddison supposedly being open to the move.

I understand we need funds for CB/RW players but I wouldn't want to lose maddison. We couldve sold Choudhury or even Praet now and got enough for Berardi and a potential loan for a CB

If he goes, there can't be any doubt that we need to replace him as well as the other 2 positions.

Ha, I said exactly this to my lad on Sunday. We’d gone for a walk round cossington nature reserve as the sun was getting low, I told him to get his head up and look around and appreciate the views. I then went on to tell him that when in towns and cities make sure to look up above the shop fronts and really see the buildings as they’re so much more interesting than the modern shop fronts.

I heard on the news today that leicester is 23rd out of 300 odd towns and cities in the UK in terms of (I can't remember the phrase sorry).. something like "deprived". Me and my daughter who's 12 live in Harborough and Leicester is actually a beautiful city, much moreso than Northampton that's equally as far away from us. I don't often go under the flyover anymore and head out of the city that way, but areas like that arent great, sad to see.
