I was asked the question "Who is the best LCFC player (non loan) to have played for the club, left the club, then returned"

The best !  I couldn't think of one !

There must be several, probably one or two really obvious ones but for the life of me I cant think of any without consulting Of Fossils & Foxes.

Any suggestions please?

Youri Tielemans technically?

If we’re saying Youri, then Chris Wood counts too.

We didn't have Chris Wood on loan?

He signed originally on a short term loan so we could register him in time for the game on New Year's Day if I remember correctly

Shame you can't include loans.

Sir Conrad Logan left the club and returned more times than he appeared for us.

Dion Dublin? Was he on the books as a kid?

Don't think so started off at Cambridge United I believe, though I have sneaky feeling in his teen years he was with Norwich before that.

Difficult one this.... Dickov, certainly. Muzzy Izzett perhaps?

If that's the case how can you forget Shaun Newton, Andy Welsh & Darren Kenton?

And Billy McKinlay, although he was decent in his second spell.

Ian Andrews, Kevin MacDonald.

Best of all Alan Smith - can you work that one out?!

We're not doing very well at this, but we don't seem to do much of this as as a club. (that Hearts documentary last year was eye opening. Their best players and coaches get snapped up by the Old Firm or English clubs, then end up back at Hearts after... Robbie Neilson and Craig Levien are both in their 3rd stints at least, but neither got a second call from us!)

Best I can offer is Tommy Wright... He was like a different player in his second stint!
