Some of their better signings recently have come from scouting, e.g. Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo. But they are able to pay mega wages which is why players like Alaba and likely Mbappe in the summer can be picked up for free.

While I get the point that they're not necessarily chasing "Galacticos" as much any more (Mbappe aside), Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo cost €45million each - that's a good chunk of cash.

Exactly - meanwhile on Planet Earth 90% of the clubs even in the top 5 leagues can’t afford one £30m player, let alone the 11 in Liverpool’s squad or the 9 in Madrid’s. These clubs spend obscene amounts of money to gain an advantage but you then see their fans trying to take the moral high ground by comparing themselves to Chelsea, PSG and Man City, who just happen to be spending even more obscene amounts of money. Really tedious for everybody else.

Really tedious for everybody else. I went after a ‘Liverpool fan’ yesterday on socials trying to tell me they’re a well run club and were the minnows against Man C because of their ‘net spend’. After three times telling him he’s a ****ing idiot and completely missed the point that 99% of football are making he gave up. They’re so ****ing far up their own arses they can’t even smell the shit. We need to do something about those ESL pricks who thought they were better than everyone else.

Liverpool as this great working class underdog is hilarious.
