2 bad teams. 6 points is a good haul considering our performance level.

International break coming at a great time. Hopefully get 1 or 2 players in as well.

Hopefully Ricardo and Castagne are ok.

I've never felt concerned like this after a win before. When you scrape an undeserved 3 points it usually feels like an added bonus but I just feel so glass half empty atm.

I can't see this season being anything other than an absolute slog unless we pull something insane out of our backside in the transfer market this week. Defence is threadbare, with no realistic sign of returnees. Midfield look shattered/lost/shadows of themselves, we've no wingers in form (I know MA scored but that's his quota for the season now), and we may have 3 top strikers but one will be burnt out before the other 2 get a start. The squad is unbalanced, we treat set pieces like they don't count and the team effort and cohesion just seems to have vanished.

You know when you just feel something isn't right? I know we face Championship fodder every season and bend over for them, but all 3 performances so far this season tell me we're not gonna be at the races.

Someone tell me to get a grip and remember where we were 10 years ago please 🤦‍♂️🥴

He played okay. A few missed place passes but he made some good headers and he was far better than Caglar. Still doesn't inspire confidence and is terrible on the ball. But he's playing better than Soyunchu at present

He our best defender today and he used the ball well. He was a contender for MOTM.

Know what you're saying but injuries have played a part already this season. The international break will do us the world of good. I just hope to see Evans ASAP and a new RW.

Lucky win mate.

We rode our luck for huge parts of the game

I thought it was a poor game. It didn’t make me nervous though. All opinions at the end of the day

PS I share your concerns.

You’d like to think that Rodgers will heave a sigh of relief and acknowledge how poor that performance was against a relegation-bound team, how many players are massively underperforming (Maddison, Barnes, Soyuncu et al), and how lucky we were to get away with that disallowed goal after more dreadful defending at a corner.

But we won, so he won’t.

Kevin gifs aside...

The only positive today was Amartey, people like to slag him off but he was by far our best player today.

Maddison on the other hand was yet again crap, he is currently playing like a 70 year old in a walking football team.

6 points from 3 games whilst playing absolutely garbage football is a bonus we don't really deserve.

We will though in my opinion, keep getting turned over by top 10 sides every time if Brendan doesn't sort this out.

Picking up points despite not being at our best is the sign of a good team.  The performances will improve.

The sign of a good team is winning 6-0 against West Brom’s reserves in the carabao cup. 😅

We just seem to be really playing too slow at the moment, all 3 games the opposition seems to think faster and be fitter.

Agree. Hopefully this is something that will come with more game time
