I think the problem is that we have a bunch of kids who hve all been paid a fortune, all told Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal etc want you for 100 million , but now ponce around like a bunch of hairdressers on Benidorm beach.

They have forgotten the core principals of playing for Leicester, work your balls off for the tem and always put a full shift in.

What we got today and against West Ham was a disgrace and they should not be paid, especially our non existent midfield

Not as pretty and not as flowing or comfortable as any of us would like, but it's three points on the road when we're massively depleted by injuries. If Liverpool did that last season in the midst of their injury woes then it would undoubtedly have been hailed as a hard fought win in difficult circumstances, and that's ultimately what it was.

Evans, Vestergaard, and Bertrand to hopefully comeback post international break. You'd also hope that Barnes' and Maddison's form will improve shortly tool both of whom have been integral when we've hit purple patches. Onwards and upwards.

The three behind Vardy were absolutely shit. Obviously cult hero Albrighton will get a rimming for having a heavily deflected, chanced, hit and hope effort go in. But let's be honest, he was just as useless as the other two.

Barnes looks worryingly short of fitness and confidence, he's going to take some real nurture to get back to his best which is a problem when we have no cover. Madders is another one that's got to get himself in the right head space.

I'd honestly be considering trying to get Vardy, Daka and Iheanacho playing together whether it's at the top of a diamond or in some 433, either way. Not as a long term solution but definitely as a short term until Barnes can get back up to speed.

At the end of the day, you want to be playing whatever system gets your best players on the pitch.

This is spot on. We’ve got to have at least two of the three on the pitch at all times.

that or sign a quality RW.

So many issues to address despite the fact that 6 out of 9 points looks decent.

Our defence is an injury hit shambles. I'm not confident Evans will play many games this season and with Fofana out we need an honest assessment of the chance of Evans playing much of a part. Benkovic looks to be a no hoper so maybe we need another centre back? If Ricardo is out for any length of time we're going to be dependent upon Castagne who's hardly been a stallwart of continual fitness. I'm not sure we can hope to successfully get through the season with two fit centre backs with Amartey as back up.

We have options up front but behind the strikers is a problem area. Tielemans is our only constructive midfileder and he can't be expected to keep carrying the team this way. he's basically played non stop for around 2 years and is looking a bit tired to me.

Our wide attacking options are virtually non-existent. Absolutely vital we address this situation in the next few days.

Long been discussed where Praet fits into the way we play. Also where is Soumare supposed to fit into this team and who does he replace? We've spent a good sum on him and you think he would be a starter for that amount of investment but really don't know where he would play.

I like Maddison but he's been injured/out of form for a while now.

We're a lot better than we've showed so far but where has the team gone that used to attack for a fun and score goals for fun too?

We are hardly plagued with Injuries we have a few out granted but it shouldn't make us play like we have for the past two games.

Totally agree. I really think a front 3 of Nacho, Vardy and Daka could be deadly. Especially if Vardy and Daka were to constantly switch positions from the channels to the centre.

Hang on - we were without Evans, Fofana, Vestergaard, Justin, Mendy, plus Bertrand and Perez missing, plus Ricardo came off first half.

That’s at least 3, possibly 4 starting players missing. Castagne still off the pace, as is Barnes seemingly.

I agree the performances have been poor but the injury/absentee situation is terrible given the season has just started.

Let’s not kid ourselves we have been only shit for 3 games, we have been poor since the Sparta Prague game with only glimpses of what we’re capable off.

does anyone know the name of that song they played when they scored? can’t stop singing it after their disallowed goal. favourite moment of the day was us and their home fans dancing to it together when they hadn’t seen lino’s flag

We are missing a CB and we was unlucky to lose Ricardo.. Castange is just as good though although slightly off the pace as you say.. same with Barnes.. still doesn't mean we should be playing like a championship side, hopefully we will see better performances over the next few games

We got lucky today. As I predicted, we were able to score more goals than they did

Norwich are a poor side apart from Cantwell.

How we played today, against any half decent side, we’d have lost no doubt about it

Maddison and Barnes were garbage today.

on a side note, did anyone catch the stream with Gary Birtles commentating? I've never heard a worst commentary in my life. I spat my coffee out when he said Kasper was the best kicker for distribution in the Premier League :crylaugh:

This is going to sound mega ungrateful..

but if we are honest we didn’t play that great in that game? Obviously winnings what counts, who wouldn’t take that.

but I don’t feel we have played well for a long time now.

Another thing I can’t understand is why Brendan isn’t using our new signings at all.

I think the plan was always to wait for the first international break to pass before doing that, when the European and League cup games start. On paper it makes sense because we can ensure we get a half decent start and ease those players in gradually. I think we were really lucky with how Castagne and Fofana hit the ground running last season, as that is the exception rather than the norm. Plus we are already running with a pretty makeshift back 4 as it stands with injuries already mounting up.

But given how flat we are, I do get your point. We have too many passengers at the moment and we can't afford to carry so many. But management is a tricky thing. I remember when Vardy was stuck on 99 goals he looked awful, and yet there was a game when Rodgers hauled off Nacho instead of him. Vardy then scored a terrible goal for his 100 and then totally transformed as the pressure was off him. That was a good example of sticking by a player that you know can be the difference maker.

Rodgers is definitely treading a thin line in that regard. But I have faith he will sort it out. Last season there was a period where he had Ayoze as a false 9 for a few games, where we were experimenting with a way to attack with Barnes and Maddison out. He persevered with it for a bit, but then swallowed his pride and put Nacho into the team instead, and that resurrected our season. So maybe one to review after another 4-5 games?

I think you only watched highlights of cantwell, he is not a pl player. But yes we were crap and got away with it as they are worse. 13 pl defeats in a row.
