King of Tamworth is at it again my fellers. Drink it in.

Some of those players today reminded me of that bit in Space jam when the wee monsters take all the talent from the basketball players and they forget how to play.

He then excelled himself by remarking that Kasper had stayed rooted to his goal-line for a corner when "he normally comes out and controls the penalty area". lol

I mean, has he ever seen him play before?

He did 🤣 everything he said was like he'd never seen us play, didn't know half the players names, truly awful

We’ve come out of another unsettled period with 2 wins out of 3 and a much needed break coming up.

The only team in the league that could go into the break with 100% record is Spurs, and I’m sure they’ll find a way to cock that up.

Yes the performances aren’t there yet but I’m not entirely sure what everyone is moaning so much about.

A signing or two by Tuesday and a good international break to get some players fitter and we’ll be raring to go ahead of a tough game and the start of our European adventure!

A wins a win at this early stage… the performances can come in a few weeks/months time.

Also as for new signings not featuring, Klopp famously doesn’t give new signings a kick for months and that tends to work out well for him….

Can't help but question our pre season?

I think we seemed to start atleast week or even 2 weeks behind many other teams.

Now I hear Rodgers talking about fitness and saying "We'll get fitter".

To add injuries on top of that are we working too hard in training trying to make up, instead of gradual build up as well as our players looking very flat and tired? :dunno:

It's hard as many players didn't join up till later being away with their international teams but even so with the players we had available at the time we must have been one of the latest clubs to start our pre season.

…….🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Result much better than performance.

clear to see we’ve not clicked yet but we will.

International break coming at the right time, hopefully we’ll have vestergaard, Evans and Bertrand available for city game.

Maddison really off the pace and would like to see KDH get the nod next time.

Even though Sharky scored it doesn’t mask the fact we are desperate for a RW, am sure they are working hard to bring one in before the end of the window.

biggest question mark for me is Vardy. Club legend who despite his little involvement in our games so far has scored two from very little service (both great finishes too). Torn between persisting with him and giving Daka the nod.

No way you can drop Vardy if he’s scoring, he’s always been getting the chances but his finishing has been off for half a year. If he’s changed that for the better, it will only help us.

Vardy got 2 in 3, carry that on this season that’s 25 goal. Harsh to drop him at the minute! Would like Daka to get a run at milwall in league cup and hopefully he can nick a couple there.

Did Schmeichel manage to kick the ball and keep it on the pitch at all this game?

Great at shot stopping, arguing & blaming others but embarrassing level of distribution.

It was frustrating today but it wasn’t horrendous.

I thought the midfield didn’t have that bad a game and we could have been three up before they got their one.

Soyuncu needs to focus less on the Cryuff turns and Beckenbauer passes and concentrate on the basics. I’ve actually stopped worrying about Amartey being in possession now.

We need to move it quicker but we need more movement up front, those two go hand in hand. We’re a much better team on the front foot, teams have something to worry about. We just crawl into our defensive shell far too early and easily.

We bring everyone back for corners and the opposition can just push everyone into our area. Actually making them keep a couple back might help ?

We’re creating a lot of our own problems.

A team good enough to win the FA Cup has won two out of three games without clicking.  A club with depth in most positions (  an imbalance in one position made to seem worse by a defensive injury crisis.

While our performances have been less than scintillating, logic suggests we should have a good season.   I am looking forward to when we put it all together again.

Class away end.

Didn't lose.

Two goats getting us goals.

It isn't ever going to get much better than this lads. Drink it in. Enjoy it.

We're going to Europe.

A win is a win but my god that was worryingly bad.

I can’t be bothered to articulate it into sentences so here’s a list of all that was bad with today:

- Too slow

- No intensity

- Little aggression

- Way too many touches

- Terrible off the ball movement

- Awful decision making in the final third

- So boring and frustrating to watch

- Soyuncu has no composure

- Maddison looks a shadow of himself

- Albrighton offered absolutely nothing until the goal

- Tielemans looks distracted.

- Corners were embarrassing yet again

- Defence looked nervy against an awful Norwich side

- Still cant defend set pieces

- Heads drop the minute something goes wrong (Ricardo’s injury today)

- No leaders

We can’t go on like that and there is more to it than just the horrendous luck with injuries and “not finding our levels” as Rodgers puts it.

We can’t go the rest of the season with only Maddison and Barnes as our only genuinely creative players in the squad, especially when both are out of form since their injuries last season. The fact we haven’t tried to address that in any of the last few windows astounds me.

If I had Brendan’s email I’d forward him this, but I’m sure the reply would be to not panic as Perez will be back in 2 games time.

Rodgers on the match. To be fair he's said we've not played anywhere near the levels he expects all season, so it's not like he's blind to the problems we are facing. Actually Rodgers is quite refreshing compared to previous managers we've had in that he doesn't go hiding in times like these.

Also this is probably the most interesting take away from today's round of questions:

Will be interesting to see if we can get anyone in before Tuesday.
