Think this is a decent signing. Was good for Fulham and will have learned a lot. Another ball carrier too, too many of our players want the ball to feet, we need people running with and off the ball to make  our attack less predictable and open space.

Don't think him being right footed and playing on the right is a problem, inverted wingers are ten a penny these days and top defenders are increasingly skilled at showing them down blind alleys. If you look around the Premier League there are a few good forwards who play on the side of their stronger foot but don't always hug the byline, they're good enough to come aside and link play or hit the box as well as hug the byline when required.

I watched more Fulham games last season than anybody should - Lookman was by far their best player every single time. People joke about Villa being a one man team with Grealish - that’s nothing compared to this guy. And he still made things happen - constantly.

He is going to absolutely tear it up and when he does I’m going to make a thread calling out each and every “underwhelmed” poster in this thread. Can’t wait for the rep points.

The only condemning thing from a recruitment standpoint is he should’ve been a main target if available and not a last minute “panic” buy - although I saw somebody mention we had been in for him early on. Which makes sense.

Hope he makes a good impression and is given time. Good luck to him, he’s probably desperate for some stability so here’s a big opportunity for him.

I’ll support anyone who puts a Leicester shirt on that isn’t Dennis Wise.

I’m not underwhelmed by him, perhaps just Whelmed.

Wait I've checked and Lookman is Right footed.....then again so is Barnes...whats the harm in playing a right footed player on the right who can whip in crosses?

As ricky demonstrated the right footer goes around the side and along that byeline before pulling the ball back to the penalty spot to be slotted in.

This could be an excellent signing.  Lookman was good at Fulham and was lauded when younger.

Potentially, first 11.  Definitely an improvement to the squad.

I'll be happily called out. I watched him twice and he was their best player both times, against us.

With a competent front man who knows what he'll do. He was next to Bobby Reid for most the season though.

Would have had more success being next to Mike Reid!

Lookman has a lot of tools, there’s no doubt about his ability. The question is whether or not this is when his end product improves to the point where he is contributing goals at a consistent rate.

He was a solid budget option for my title winning fantasy team last season. So I can’t argue with Brendan for having him as a solid budget signing

Look at it from his point of view what a chance this is for him, he has a season to do his best and impress and he gets a massive move! I’m hoping this will bring out the best in him as he’s some player on his day

Our disappointment in not signing a marquee winger, particularly given we've been looking to fill the void left by Mahrez for three seasons now, is clouding our view of getting Lookman on loan. At this point the alternative is... there isn't one. Loan with option to buy a young player with pace, skill and potential to develop at this stage - it's a no brainer. Good luck to the lad. Better than signing James for 30 million!

Probably a better defender too.

The alternative was James at 30m.

Personally I'm very happy with Lookman, it will be great to have another winger other than Barnes who can run at defences.

Predominately a left sided player I'm still hoping we get Neres and have three players of that ilk.

My only worry with this, is he end up being Barnes back up and not really playing.

I'm all for building a better squad as it's definitely needed.

But if Daka, Soumare and Lookman all end up bench/squad players, leaves me feeling we could have done with at least 1 player who improved on the starting 11.

I’d make a better winger than Ryan Bennett and I used to play left back for Sunday league!
