For anyone going https://www.amazon.co.uk/LCSJ-Stab-Resistant-Adjustable-Knife-Proof-Protection/dp/B089M8P98X/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=stab+proof+vest&qid=1631971570&sr=8-5

Full set there even get gloves to keep your pinky safe the forearm guards will come in handy as well can imagine it being a little chilly come december.

Apparently these guys  preferred method of attack is to stab you in the ass, so it might be better to invest in some

sturdy pants.

All this raises a major issue for the club. The argument for standing only areas, could well be lost to us, thanks to all those brain dead idiots. If the same was to happen again on  open terraces, God only knows what would happen.

You will never get an open terrace built again regardless.

Because, just because we have experienced bad times doesn't mean we have to be happy with every performance.

I'm not condoning what you saw/heard, but I get fed up with this "we were once here" attitude. We're supposed to be a top 6 side now so expectations should match that.

Rubbish

Who says we're supposed to be top 6.

Regardless of where we are expected to be we should be supportive not negative all the time.

Is there a code of conduct in the hooligan world to leave parents with kids alone or would it be dangerous taking your kid to the match in Naples?

It's not worth the risk mate especially with kids.

Naples in general is a very unforgiving city.

Even if safe from physical violence, i wouldn't say the atmosphere, hostility & constant dangers are much fun for a kid, nor a parent taking their kid. It's one more thing to worry about among a number of other things. Napoli aside, there are going to be some Leicester idiots looking for trouble out there. I can see it being very hostile.

There is,but i don't think Napoli fans buy into it.

I agree but I regret having to use the word ‘fans’. There will be plenty in Naples who are the same as me and you; but their fanatic groups are larger. Only have to look at the ages of those arrested to work out it’s not something they ‘grow’ out

The thing is, if you are unlucky enough to find yourself somewhere where it's kicking off near or around you, you can find yourself in a situation that is, at the very least, very scary for kids (and for you as a parent with responsibility for them), and there is a small risk there that things could go south in some way - regardless of whatever unspoken code there might be. If it's not the fighting or projectiles, there's riot police, etc, potentially in the mix.

It might be fine, and likely any bust ups will be localised and more bark than bite, but there's no way I would take a kid on a trip like that.

I mean, I can remember tales of women and kids getting attacked by Spurs fans at the 1999 final. Seeing that is what put my then 9 year old brother off football for good.

Don't take your kid to Naples mate, seriously. My Dad is still bitter about the Spuds making him lose interest. He's just lucky he managed to rope me in a few years later. Did make 2016 all the sweeter for us in fairness. lol

At least it should be easy to identify the Napoli fans in the ground looking at the videos / photos in the media. I mean it is UEFA protocol that the tickets were only allowed to be picked up on production of a passport in the ticket owners name according to our ticket office. 😄

Unfortunately it isn't, but our club pretends that it is. A ticket collection point in Naples would put our fans in serious danger. West Ham fans were attacked at their collection point in Zagreb this week and Naples will be much much worse.

I thought the Spurs thug had been sent down. Apparently not...
