If it was the Champions League, I don't think anybody would be suggesting playing a weakened team. As it's the Europa, some people favour prioritising the league instead. I'm not one of them - like you, I want to see us go for the win. But that's clearly the way that some people see it.

Really need to show we can go away in europe and come back with a comfortable win. Our efforts so far have been pretty grim, only Brugge I can think of where we've won convincingly. Decent results in Seville and Madrid but there was plenty of hanging on there. 

We are better than them, go out and show it.

Quincy Promes and Jorrit Hendrix too. Reckon they’ll be a much better team than Legia.

We have an extra days rest than usual before Brentford so don’t want to see too many changes as this is a must win really if we are taking Europa seriously.

Actually spoke about this post match in Warsaw. We’ve largely been dogshit in Europe away

No way Evans will even travel to this. He could barely walk for cramp after the match on Saturday.

 

Spartak are likely to sit relatively deep so I wouldn't be against going back to a back four and giving Barnes and Lookman a start, but it probably means dropping Iheanacho which I just don't think we can afford to do right now.

I really think we should go for a weakened team in this Europa League game, give some players a well needed rest and concentrate on the Prem. If we get it right there's a possibility that we could qualify for the Europa League.

I can't see wholesale changes being made but a couple of key positions being rested (Evans and Vardy in particular). 

 

Perez or Maddison to play but picked the player that is least likely to play against Brentford. 

Guessing Tielemans to play because he just doesn't stop and does make us tick. 

 

Maybe Barnes and Lookman play if we go back to a 4-man defence.

I'd be tempted to go Daka and Kel or Vardy and Kel and then Daka and Barnes final 30.

I agree with going as close to full strength here as possible. We need momentum and a good showing in Europe will generate that, as well as the fact that we need to win this match. Definitely should be prioritising this competition , we now have a squad that know how to win cups , let's go ahead and do it.

Beach bar in Malaga for me, for this game. 

Met a lad, working in a bar who is a Real Betis fan. 

He said they all went mad in celebration, when we dumped Seville out of the champions league 😂

Good that we've got an extra day to recover before the Brentford game then. I hope we got as close to full strength as possible with just Evans and maybe Vardy being rested, depending on how he recovers between games. Really need a win

Apparently game day is the 29th anniversary of a stadium disaster involving Spartak - minutes silence before the game, 66 people passed away. 
 

Also crowd of 30% capacity - so maximum of 13k

Russia is in right state. Very slow vaccine take up, not sure Sputnik is as effective as others, hospitals very close to overflowing. Deaths per day growing. Grim.
