So today marks the 3rd anniversary of the tragic disaster. 
 

Still remember it like it was yesterday. Sat in the Indian with the family after the game and three phones all ringing at the same time. 
 

RIP, Vichai, Kaveporn, Nusara, Eric & Isabella. 
 

Thanks for daring us to dream boss and everything you have done for our club & the city. 
 

Your legacy lives on.

We picked up a Chinese on the way home from the match I took the dog out whilst my wife and 2 daughters done other stuff. We sat down to eat our dinner and put the TV on and started seeing the pictures from the ground. I don't think any of us finished our food as we all felt physically sick seeing what had happened, and I think we all knew at the time nobody could possibly survive that. It was just a waiting game for it to be confirmed who was actually onboard.

I'll never forget getting the news while at a mates 30th in London. Went and found the only other Leicester fan there to tell him and then went straight home to get my head straight.

 

What a fantastic man we lost. The love and reverence we all treat his memory with are testament to that.

 

Will have to get the scarf out to watch tonight's stream.

Missed the game to attend a friend's wedding reception in town just the other side of Bede, no phone signal so got out at about 8-9pm to see blue lights everywhere and my phone going mad with missed calls and notifications. Initially figured we'd been pumped by Palace and Puel had gotten the sack, but it obviously wasn't that, especially the panicked texts and missed calls from Mum asking if I was okay. For all they knew at the time it could have been a huge disaster, anywhere in the city.

 

God it was horrible, especially given how disoriented I was and having not even known the full time score, let alone what transpired. I think it hit me when I was walking down the canal path and saw that mural of Claudio. I just lost it. Hadn't seen a soul before then but from then on I had to head into the centre for the bus. I saw a lot of grown men crying in the streets, same as me. We knew.

Was at the game and got caught up in traffic just outside the ground. Saw the helicopter come in but was out the area before it then took off again. Still seems so surreal.

I got into the pub and someone told me the Chopper had crashed and I just thought they were telling some weird joke and brushed it off.

 

Only when I got home to watch it all unfold on the news did I really understand what had happened.

It was the darkest of dark nights. The shock and upset of seeing Dan Amartey with a broken leg and then what happened afterwards. I never met Khun Vichai but it felt like I'd lost a close family member.

 

It will be emotional tonight.

Still completely gutting, not sure I’ll ever grieve for someone I didn’t know like that again to be honest.

As I have put on here before. I was walking back to my car after the match and missed the crash by a few minutes as my dad's not the quickest on his feet.

 

I wasn't able to get down to put a shirt at the ground as I live in Yorkshire. But in a strange fate kind of way I was going on my honeymoon to Thailand the Saturday after it happened. 

 

The start of the honeymoon was in Bangkok and took a shirt to put close to the temple. I ended up on sky sports news with Rob, then King power took me and my wife in with food and drink during the event. Once the officials bits had taken place we was allowed to put the shirt down in the temple where Vichai was. They took a photo of us with the shirt in the temple and we then got to meet Top and the family. They actually thanks us for coming and showing our respects at this difficult time! One of the most surreal days of my life. 

 

It showed me how much all of the king power family care and the details they go into with everything that happens.
