Still think they'll want Praet as they play him in a 3 man attack

If they do he will go straight in as their highest earner by a long way.

Most probably, when he was at Sampdoria he was on around £40-50k a week I read at the time, I can see that being the salary he'd have to agree to. We may well cover some of that as a top up if it proves stubborn to get across the line.

Director trying to ‘accelerate’ talks for Leicester player – Club now have resources for signing

The Italian media today reports Torino’s strong desire to sign Dennis Praet from Leicester City.

The reports regarding the Serie A side’s wish to make his loan a permanent move have been on for a while, and since the club now agreed to sell Bremer to Juventus, they have the cash to afford the operation for the midfielder.

Outlet Calciomercato is one of those bringing those updates. They claim Torino director Davide Vagnati is now trying to ‘accelerate’ to get Praet from Leicester City, as an ‘agreement is being sought’ with the Foxes.

They write that the player could move to Turin on a new loan, but this time, the clubs would include an obligatory buying clause, for which the figures are still being discussed.

The report claims there’s ‘still a distance’ for a deal.

Meanwhile, also mentioning Bremer’s transfer Tuttosport (via Sport Mediaset) bring a different kind of story.

They explain that Torino want to make a proposal of between €7m and €8m for the transfer, looking more like an outright purchase.

It still isn’t said if Leicester City would accept that amount, despite them claiming Vagnati now ‘has the money’ to work on the market after the big sale of Gleison Bremer.

Either way, it seems the Serie A side are focused on getting a deal done.

Thankfully I don’t think this would stop them going after Praet as Cuisance would likely be more of a replacement for Pobega or Mandragora who they had on loan

Praet was an attacking midfielder/right winger for them

Shame he's not left footed!

€7-8m? Isn’t that less than half what the optional fee was last year? Can’t imagine we would agree to that surely.. especially after they just got c. €50m for Bremer

Alternatively on the ‘loan with obligation’ - wouldn’t this be the route if they were wanting to kick payments down the road to next year? Which again doesn’t overly make sense with the aforementioned c. €50m above no?

Struggling to see why they cannot stump up the readies now given fee they have just Sky-rocketed. Italian and Turkish Clubs are tighter than a gnats chuff.

We’re at the stage where our plans can’t happen until players go, other clubs know this. We’re running out of time to play hard ball and Torino can look elsewhere now they have the cash.

Still over 6 weeks until the transfer window closes so wouldn’t say we’re running out of time just yet.. but I get your point

I genuinely like Praet, shame it can’t work with us for whatever reason. He’s a very tidy player who can pass, but won’t do anything too Hollywood.

That goal against Burnley was fairly "Hollywood".

Youri and Dennis very rarely post on social media but both have posted today a photo from yesterday's match.  I'm just not getting the vibe of players desperate to leave. Watch this space I guess.......

He’s never been good enough, couple of sublime moments, other than that he is to slow and really doesn’t offer us much.

If you look harder Dennis is always on the move , linking play ,blocking moves, running into space. He is not principally a creative player but he brings cohesion to the midfield. I am pretty sure that is why we bought him .What has gone wrong I have no idea.

All these laugh emojis, but not one of you can come out I actually say what he brings to the team, getting dumped quickly by Rodgers speaks volumes.

I agree. He’s not good enough. Jack of all trades master of none.

Who would he replace in the 11? He’s not better than KDH for me.

He’s our best number 10, after Maddison. He’s a full Belgium international, with their current squad, and his general all round game is impressive imo. He doesn’t see eye to eye with BR. It is what it is. Shame really. High quality player, that looks to be getting away

I don’t think he’s a starter, but we’ve got to have a better quality squad. There’s 5 subs this year! This is massive. We (this forum) seems to be overlooking this

No, he just doesn't want to be a squad player.
