pmcla26 Posted 7 March 2023 Posted 7 March 2023 I doubt Cags will go Inter or Atletico. Reminds me of when his agent was trying to sell him to Barca and Real. Think he’ll end up back in Turkey at Fenerbahce, Besiktas or Galatasaray, or a second rate European team.
Popular Post Wymsey Posted 7 March 2023 Popular Post Posted 7 March 2023 It's a shame that he's being wasted, as there's definitely a decent player in there when he's on it. 6

I’ve seen that, has anyone credible said anything about it? Fair play to him if he has got that move, can’t envisage him playing much there or being successful there, though. 1

He has shown before that he can play to a very high standard. I think there is a lot to be said about coaching, styles of play and personal situation and fallouts. 5
LVFox Posted 8 March 2023 Posted 8 March 2023 The fact Inter are now being mentioned implies a deal with Atletico is nowhere near as arranged as previously reported. No doubt Cags' agent is abit of a helmet, hopefully doesn't let him down and he ends up taking a step down after leaving us 1

Claudio Fannieri Posted 9 March 2023 Posted 9 March 2023 I still wouldn’t be shocked if he stays, but that would be dependent on Rodgers leaving the club pretty sharpish
ozleicester Posted 9 March 2023 Posted 9 March 2023 I still dont know what happened? Headbutted Rodgers... or Rodgers child? Drigs charge? Suddenly forgot how to play football? Has a clause that doubles his pay if he plays one more game? What happened?

Soyuncu has had a pretty grim run of form so not denying that but Faes surely has made as many individual errors as Cags has in a much smaller timeframe. Cags is also rapid whilst Faes is far from that. 1

Gamble92 Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 I think Rodgers was done with him because of the way he applied himself after clearly saying he wanted to move to a Champions League team. To down tools the way he did in that FA Cup match last season was unforgivable to me.
MPH Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 (edited) A few news sources that say Cags to Atletico Madrid is a done deal.. https://www.football-espana.net/2023/02/08/atletico-madrid-looking-to-bring-in-second-central-defender-to-partner-caglar-soyuncu-next-season/amp https://www.90min.com/posts/atletico-madrid-to-beat-english-sides-to-caglar-soyuncu-free-transfer-01gtbjbd03dg/amp https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11660027/amp/Atletico-Madrid-looking-bring-Leicester-defender-Caglar-Soyuncu-end-January.html the daily mail one states :The Turkish defender is destined to join Atletico but the plan was as a free agent in the summer. The Spanish club are keen to get a deal done now as they look to offload Felipe to Wolves. Edited 10 March 2023 by MPH

One thing that we keep coming back to is so many of our players say they're wanting a move to team in X competition. We've not publicly had any offers for them - obviously not saying there hasn't been any but to not even have a single leak is strange, especially when with foreign clubs. BR has said a few times that a few simply think they're better than they are 1

To gain such a fee for doing something that he loves made him happy to go out and perform!!! There would have had to have been a major fork in the road, where his integrity or perhaps manhood was challenged and the matter was never resolved. He is carrying this in his head and it will not go away unless he chooses to address the issue. His self esteem has, I hazard a guess, been crushed and nothing around him will make it come back, especially when he has gone into himself. There are now moments of lack of concentration and frustration in his game, if he gets time on the pitch, it has been too long now, he cannot sort this out himself.
dannythefox Posted 12 March 2023 Posted 12 March 2023 If Rodger’s goes he’ll stay because he’ll be paying under any other manager. 1

Apart from the fact that his contract is nearly expired, and he has probably had something in place for the last year. Why on earth would you want to stay here? Look how he has been treated. Despite his erratic form, he is probably too good to be playing in the Championship.

Probably one of the best defensive options we had, but never used, crazy. What on earth is going on at LCFC 2
