If everyone is fit I think he’ll go Fofana and Amartey against the Mancs and then Soyuncu and Evans against PSV. The reason being that during the Rodgers era, Soy and Evans have been overall the best pairing.

But he could go for any lineup and it wouldn’t be a problem. The one combo I don’t see happening is Evans and Amartey, unless we had a spate of injuries.

It is pretty hilarious though that we are playing Man U and yet it’s the least important game of the week! How times change!

Nigeria (Lookman and Kelechi) vs Ghana (Big Dan on 25th and 29th)

Portugal vs Turkey 24th (Cags)

N Ireland, dont know if we have hidden Evans passport or not.

I would, medical advice permitting,  start Evans and Fofona against Man U, Cags on bench

Rest big Dan and keep the now working Cags partnership for PSV.

However, the gods might wanna mix and match two back threes

Edit... Forgot about our Danish friends, 24th and 29th. Is Kasper playing with a recent strain and will Vestagaard come into the equation?

May have misheard but when Brendan was being interviewed on the radio after the game yesterday I’m sure he said that Evans was joining up with Northern Ireland. I was astonished that we were allowing him to go after all the time he has been out.

Didn't he get injured one time when he joined NI in play or in training 😟

If we have an agreement that he plays for 60 mins in their first game then that works for us

Think he has come back injured from NI …………IF he has gone and comes back injured from this squad I’m absolutely certain there will be some very angry supporters asking why he chose to go !!!!!

Absolute rubbish.

No player should turn down representing their country under nearly all circumstances.

Nah for me we go for the win at OT.

no better time than now to beat them.

take that confidence and high into the PSV game. Bring Ricardo, Vardy and foffana back for this and have our subs ready.

Think we still go as competitive as possible here. Rarely get results at OT. If it were being played on the Sunday it's different, but we should go strong here, roll that energy onto PSV and then rest up against Palace to then go all guns blazing again in The Netherlands.

All those resting players, they've got two weeks off and 4 full days off after the Man Utd match until PSV. If we're resting then do it for the Palace game in between both European games, we've beaten these 3 times in a row and I really don't want us to give them an easy ride as we tend to do at Old Trafford.

Not the ones playing on international duty though, I'd certainly rest them for United. It's as close to a nothing game as we can get, whereas PSV is huge.

My missus referred to their manager as Ralf Ragnarock yesterday and from now on that's what he'll be in my head.

I’ve just drafted him back into my fantasy team’s starting 11. That virtually guarantees that he won’t score and Utd will concede. The things I do for this club ………

You actually put him in before😳

Hope we give it a proper go. We never seem to win there (with fans) and I really think we can. Forget resting players for PSV. This should be the dress rehearsal. Get players fit and firing together.

I’d give fringe players a run out, we need to win the European conference.

There's 2 and half weeks between brendford and psv. I think I heard brendan say once that players start to lose their match sharpness after 2 weeks so I would start any players who haven't had minutes for thier country's. Then rest literally everyone possible the following weekend v Palace between the psv games.

I think this is very winnable but Man United can just as easily have a few players do enough to get them a win on any occasion. Awful mentality throughout their squad but no doubting their quality when they can be arsed.

...with the right manager, they are going to be challenging at the top once again!!

Their problem is getting in the right man and that is where they are falling down. So long as they are holding themselves back by their inadequate search for a manager, we have a chance to look to compete at the top and take their place, this opportunity won't last forever, we just need to be the team who are consistent and in position to take up their spot as soon as they begin to falter.

I transferred in Christian eriksen and captained him for the Brentford match.

Did he play well?

All this talk of resting players and yet my impression is that we appear to start slower and make basic mistakes more after a period of prolonged non competitive football( resting  = training more)

IIRC that has happened a couple of times after postponements and international breaks this season.

There is less chance of player injuries I guess however
