Got two week break before this game..

We got PSV 4 days later, which is far more important, so I think Rodgers simulate this game and hope for the best.

Who would people have at CB? I’m presuming not Amartey but would he drop Cags as well to bring both Evans and Forfana in?

It could be 3CBs with Wilf missing to be fair which did work in the win at our place.

Believe Evans needs game time so maybe 45 minutes ?

Simulated most of the season so why not!

Kasper

Justin - Amartey - Fofana - Castagne

Mendy - Tielemans

Maddison - KDH - Barnes

Vardy*

Is what I presume the team may be.

*If not Vardy, then Iheanacho to play.

Tough to drop out Soyuncu as he's formed a good partnership with Amartey. Fofana has to play if he's fit though, unless he gets saved for the PSV game which is ultimately the more important game now. Perhaps Ricardo starts for Justin instead, too. Thought Maddison did well in the role he played today, occupied a lot of the CAM position but also came out to the right side, quite fluid and it helped us.

Big decision here whether to do what he did at Arsenal where we concede the game to some point.

Youri and Cags are likely to be overplayed next week. Both fit strikers off as well

As long as we don't respect them too much, like we always seem to do at Old Trafford, I will be happy and we'll have a chance.

Missing this game for a friend's stag. I want us to win as always but would also be cynically gutted if I didn't get to witness our first win at OT with fans in donkeys years

If everyone is fit I think he’ll go Fofana and Amartey against the Mancs and then Soyuncu and Evans against PSV. The reason being that during the Rodgers era, Soy and Evans have been overall the best pairing.

But he could go for any lineup and it wouldn’t be a problem. The one combo I don’t see happening is Evans and Amartey, unless we had a spate of injuries.

It is pretty hilarious though that we are playing Man U and yet it’s the least important game of the week! How times change!

I would play the below

Schmeichel

Fofana Amartey Soyuncu

Justin Mendy KDH Thomas

Maddison

Daka Iheanacho

Save Tielemans Vardy Barnes Evans Ricardo Castagne for PSV

Is vardy even going to be back for this one?

I wouldn't risk Vardy on this one. ManU CBs are clumsy (and I'm polite to just use this word). Keep him ready for PSV and maybe go for Vardy-Daka or Iheanacho in front against the Dutch as they're extremely vulnerable at the back.

As it is even if we win all our games in hand we can't finish above 7th-8th. Game management in the PL please with focus on having our key players fit for the European clash.

Not a bad shout tbh

A back 3 vs Utd is one of the few opposition that we seem to do well in as they don't press us at all and it means that one of our wide CB's has a free reign to take the ball up pitch and then the midfield and wing backs can exploit the gaps.

Fofana to start if possible

I'd go

Schmeichel

 Amartey or Evans  Soyuncu

Justin / Ricardo 1/2 each Thomas

 Hamza Mendy Soumare

 KDH/ Maddison 1/2 each

Daka Iheanacho 1/2 each Lookman

I'd rest Fofana, Castagne,  Tilly, Albrighton and hope Vardy is also back for PSV

All those resting players, they've got two weeks off and 4 full days off after the Man Utd match until PSV. If we're resting then do it for the Palace game in between both European games, we've beaten these 3 times in a row and I really don't want us to give them an easy ride as we tend to do at Old Trafford.

I’d put Justin on the left and Ricardo/Castagne on the right. Thomas isn’t a wing back, he needs a winger to link up with.

Just saw your reason below
