Give him a pay rise and make him captain. Show some intent.

I'm told Evans as captain was a players vote, ao there'd be no going back on that. I think captain should be chosen by the manager for this reason

Newcastle may have pulled off a masterstroke after recalling goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Manchester United. The Slovakia international had been at Old Trafford on loan since the start of September but could now form part of a potential swap deal for Leicester playmaker James Maddison.

Really clutching at straws here. Clearly being recalled as they are in direct competition

Even for us this would be quite something.

Dubravka turns 34 in a couple of weeks and is out of contract in the summer. His monetary value in a swap deal would be about 63p.

Yea he’s basically on the whoopsie section in Morrisons alongside the bread that goes stale tomorrow

Is he fit for tonight?

Doesn’t matter. According to the media, by recalling Dubravka Newcastle have inserted a clause into Maddison’s contract stating he can’t play for us in January as it risks an injury.

We’ll pay £10m and give him a six year deal then ……

Horrible dilemma for the board is that we keep him end up getting relegated... yes that Horrible word. And up selling him at half the value or cash in now at full price and look to invest in the squad January.

You’d like to think that just getting relegated would be the horrible dilemma for the ‘board’.

I love Maddison, but would cash in for a big fee based on length left on his contract. Either that or offer him captain and as much as we can for a definite new deal.

We've surly got to keep Maddison until the Summer,  With things as they are it's looking more likely that his goals are going

to be crucial to our survival this season.

The way things are going it doesn't look like he's going to be fit again this season. The way the club are being cagey with the information does not bode well.
