It's the first time we have beaten Palace three times on the trot at home since 1925.:appl:

Didn't realise Palace existed in 1925 .

Wins right up my street today, effort and high pressing not allowing teams to get at us defensively. Slightly worried early in they got in a couple of times route one and then we didn’t let it happen again! Both full backs defensively solid, kdh setting the tempo and Mendy keeping it ticking over nicely.

Everyone who replied to my question on what zahas problem was. You've done a fantastic job. Kudos all round.

I've always had a suspicion his not taking the knee thing is just another of his childish attention-seeking manifestations too. He could take the knee but just wants the whole event to revolve around him.

Whatever it is, he's a weapons-grade bellend and his mate Mateta seems to have graduated from the Zaha school of charm with first class honours too..

Well done fellas pretty even game but think you deserved the win overall... Surprised it's taken Dewsbury-Hall so long to come through seems like a decent talent.

Anyway all the best anyway pleased you've stuck with Rodgers rather than doing some daft knee jerk sacking.

Defo one eye on next week from our players, hopefully we can do the job against Chelsea!

I think both teams had one eye on big games next week, as seen from our team selection. Good luck next week at Wembley, would much rather see you guys get to the final than Chelski yet again.

By the way,  how do Palace fans really feel about Zaha? Obviously he's a massive player for you but he just seems like someone who is permanently angry and upset about life. Not sure it helps his own or the team's performance frankly.

Zaha doesn't realise blm.

If you ever see him being interviewed,  you will see his intellectual deficiencies laid bare.  He says some stupid things.

If I could decide the way of the world  Zaha would spend his whole career answering a phone in customer services on less than the minimum wage

Irony would demand an eternity trapped as a Nursery assistant, spending the rest of time picking up crying children who've fallen over.

Passed out asleep when i got home, all tuckered out!

That was an enjoyable match all-told. Even after they pulled one back I wasn't really concerned that we'd surrender the lead. A much-changed side just comprehensively outplayed an in-form side, one which very much had our number in the reverse fixture back in October. Yeah, it doesn't feel like a game with much riding on it, but as others have said, a very satisfying springboard for Thursday in the circumstances.

KDH and Mendy were both excellent. Think Thomas had a solid game too.

I think there still is alot riding on our league games. Looking at the remaining fixtures of us, Man U, West ham and wolves, we could still finish 7th or even 6th at a push if the other 3 keep dropping points. Makes a change for us to be going into the end of the season in form and chasing teams above us rather than being hideous and watching teams below us catch up a massive lead.

It has to be said that Palace may have had an off game but I think that was more to do with how we set up to play than It does them playing outright badly. They play well down the wings and that’s obviously their strong point so fair play to them. Viera has them doing ok.

He’s like a Sean Dyche but with a bit of something about him..

From where I was sitting, I thought Viera looked like an old, fat Patrick Viera.

Agree with you about tactics though. They really didn’t like being pressed. With the rotation and tactics, Brendan needs some praise.

True. I still think the European spots are just about out of reach personally, but we're coming into a decent spell of form and regaining key players, so I want us to at least give it a go now our squad situation is looking rosier. Today was a lovely reminder that we've now got two teams we can field and compete with, an absolute luxury after the torrid situation we've faced this year.

I try not to think about games in hand, because it always seems to come back to bite us in the arse, but pick points up in those and I guess it's back on the cards!

Don't blame Rodgers one bit for shifting the key personnel to Thursday. It's still realistically our best shot of European footy, but a push for seventh to give the Conference League another go if we don't win it might as well be the league goal. We're safe.

What a good performance. Apart from that period of 10 mins just after the penalty I thought we bossed it. In complete control. Palace, as they showed last week are a good team. This just shows our proper level is much higher up the league.
