The Everton goal does really make a difference… we win against Newcastle we go above them and it’s in our hands..

The goal that makes a difference is the Liverpool one…

It does. Even if we win against Newcastle, if not for this draw, in the last game, if we lose and they draw, we would still be above them. Now we would be below them. This is a massive point for them.

Tbh that point means more or less nothing to us

Well it could. Presuming we lose against Newcastle and we somehow manage to actually win a game (v hammers) then that point means we’d need Bournemouth to beat Everton rather than draw or win.

I think that’s a really significant point for them.

It doesn’t change anything though. Due to our better goal difference we can still finish above Everton even if we lose on Monday.

Doesn’t change much points wise unless we screw up our gd any more but it’ll give em a whole lot of belief

A draw still isn’t a good result for Everton!

That goal difference of ours could end up coming in useful. We can still go above them with a win.

Well it does, they're at home to Bournemouth, now a point is good enough for them as we're never going to win both. (or probably either)

This Liverpool injury time is absolutely ridiculous, no one else has had the benefit of world cup style injury time.

That's the difference isn't it. We have zero character and zero bottle, we would never, ever equalise like that in a game like that.

We never ever score late.

Exactly. If we win, which we need to, we go above them regardless. And if we didn't, we'd stay below them regardless.

I was thinking that but then a point next Sunday takes them to 34

so we HAVE to get something on Monday whereas they could conceivably have drawn next Sunday to reach 33 if they’d lost today - plus a last minute goal always gives you a lift

are you mad!!! the difference is that when we lose to newcastle which we will… on the final day if we won, everton needed to win. now they only need a draw.

That goal has probably just sealed it.

When did we start adding absolutely huge amounts of time on?

Seems like this came randomly again, extremely no consistency in this league

Not when they smash Bournemouth

Don't be soft.

If Everton had lost instead of being given literally 100 minutes to save themselves then we'd catch them if they drew next week and we won which wouldn't be that surprising.

The idea that Newcastle would be hungover and partying if Liverpool lost is just a silly fantasy. The Liverpool game means **** all to us.

Newcastle need a point from two games, they know they've got it wrapped up.

lets be right, did we expect to even stay up if results went our way?

we've got no fight or heart,

Coping mechanisms for some people, I assume it's easier to rue 'luck' of others.

FFS, that's a massive point for Everton, means they can afford to draw versus Bournemouth assuming we lose at Newcastle and beat West Ham.

We have to get a point at Newcastle now just to keep everyone honest. Forest will be in reach assuming they lose today and Leeds also need 4pts from two to stay above us.

The strange thing is if Howe and Smith could shake hands on a point now they'd both do it without thinking twice. Maybe it will favour us if we go into the last 5 mins still drawing?
