Rodgers is asking us to play out from the back and that’s why Ward is in, because he’s better with his feet. But because our team are so nervous playing out is suicidal at the moment. I don’t think a new manager fixes that. We should be pragmatic if necessary. Deep blocks, keep compact and play on the counter for a bit. Get a clean sheet and build from there. I don’t think Ward would be good in that sort of team either. International football is played at a slower pace, which suits Ward. Not the helter-skelter of the Premier League. 3

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 I don't think you can be a no.2 for too long. It just stunts your development and you go stale. Young keepers do it whilst learning their trade. But eventually drop down if need be to get a no.1 gig. Ward resigned himself to average keeper status sometime ago. The concerning thing is why some numpty at our club thought a 'gone to pasture' Ward could replace Kasper in the Prem? Dullards!!!!
Koke Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 The Sanchez disallowed goal was correctly disallowed but what the hell was he doing? A new GK is top priority in January. 1

And the likes of Dragovic. Puel had almost zero involvement in transfers apart from ricardo, tielemans, Ghezzal and diabate
Popular Post ian__marshall Posted 17 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 17 September 2022 His positioning has to be some of the worst I've seen in my time supporting the club. Has absolutely no awareness of his angles and spatially he seems to get caught in no man's land quite a lot. 5
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 Got to admire Klopp....he knows how to flog crap for millions......and clubs lap it it up because there ex Liverpool

Dickov22 Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 Is it any wonder he’s struggling? Never ever a number one Premier League keeper

TMELcfc Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 Was going to give him a chance buts he truly is dreadful. New manager plays iversen surely
Bryn Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 He’s faced 43 shots and conceded 22 goals. 1 2

Mr Mister Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 Ridiculous to have made him 1st choice considering that he had played very little in the last 4 years.

dbtcity Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen a professional keeper that’s so ridiculously poor positionally!

Mr Mister Posted 17 September 2022 Posted 17 September 2022 How is this guy a Welsh international? Surely the person that we have in goal is an imposter and not the real Danny Ward. An international goalkeeper should be really be Premier League quality.
