Can we throw in Bertrand as a buy one get one free deal following Southamptons methods ?

And watch them start playing like VVD and andy Robertson. I’d still do that deal and be happy for them.

There isn't an issue...only on football forums.

Mitrovic must be on that if not more now.

Wages below are from a couple of years back when they was in the prem last. No issue with wages if 65k is true.

They’re euros so 20% lower

they aren’t going to take on a CB as almost their top earner

and they also have to be conscious  of their wage bill re ffp.

they will pay him 50k.  That means he’s 1.5m light on what he’d earn here.

if they are really interested then I reckon we will make a deal. could be that we push up the fee and then negotiate back down again to accommodate that 1.5m of lost wages

Why would you accept the first offer. Unless it's a damn sight more than what you want.

...for LCFC we can't allow ourselves to look weak, for Fulham they know our situation and are playing to it!!!

Take the money and run to bring in a player to make a difference or try to save face.

At this moment I feel  £9m would be the agreed price, we need to look forward, we can't correct the errors that were previously made when we brought him in. That ship has sailed.

Shame to see him go, Fulham has a top international joining them. He is fantastic in the air and always shows up when required. Will be missed.

Hopefully we have a replacement lined up.

Because we're desperate to cut down an over inflated squad and cut wages, so we keep being told.

Yeah so let's look weak pushover's.

So then every club can come in and pick the bones of our squad.

By all accounts they’re pushing quite hard for a certain German shot stopper who’s on 100k a week, I really can’t see them negotiating that down to 50k, i guess it is what it is if they’re after established prem players they’ll be paying the premium that goes along with that when it comes to wages…. Here’s hoping anyway lol

Yeah of course after getting £80m from Yanited really shows we’re push overs. FFS.

It’s widely publicised that we need to cut down on the deadwood to facilitate transfers club’s have us over a barrel we’re not getting any value out of these players this summer, the club really have limited power and times running out. All their own doing but hopefully learned from the mistakes made.

No, because these are bids for players we want to shift. It's completely different if bids are made for players that we want to keep.

If we turn down 8m for this absolute lump then Rudkin needs to sling his hook. Not every club can be ripped off like Man Utd.

8m and huge wages off a supposedly high bill is a win win.

But you are basing that what clubs are interest via the media, maybe there are a few more club sniffing around so the club thinks it can get a better price?

Judging on his performances last season we are lucky to even consider shifting him for a fee. This is one of those transfers where we really don’t need to squeeze every last penny out of. 8 million is a good fee, get it done. We need to kick start our own business this summer.

With his high wages, age and standard of performance any attempt by the club to get a higher fee will attract more scrutiny and arguably put clubs off the transfer.

Would any club in their right mind pay 12m and then 75k pw for Vestergaard?

Absolutely - he’s so versatile and rapid to the ball played behind the back line. An absolute warrior who has gained legend status in record time. I’m very emotional at the thought of losing the big fella.
