newcastle basically just what to evolve into what we’ve been over the last few years… what better way to do that then sign our best players :dunno:

I get the logic, but i hope we just don’t deal with them at all.

I’m the opposite, I hope we do deal with them because they’ll pay silly money for our players.

We’ve gotta start selling stars every so often again and using the 60-80m for the stadium expansion.

I wouldn’t sell Barnes yet (give it 3-4 years and maybe) and I doubt Maddison will go there.

I thought the expansion was paid for through a loan?

Unsettled their nearest rival when battling relegation by taking wood off them. But without a release clause our board will make it extremely expensive for a club like Newcastle to seemingly scupper Top’s goal of challenging at the top end by letting our best players to be sold to a direct rival.

Maybe these offers are being made at our request, to convince our stars they don't have much market value, and they will sign new deals?

Whats the offer for Barnes gonna be, 15m + Shelvey?

£17.50, a signed photo of Ant (but not dec), some used Jimmy Nail ticket stubs, a collection of 500 Newcastle Brown bottles (empty), and if he scores 30 goals, the Best of The Police album (scratched).

It appears they want to make it very structured with their payments. Same journalist has reported that Cornet is wanted but they've tried to lowball a fairly small fee. I doubt we'll consider anything at present.

Probably is, but nice to have 80m sat in a bank account ain’t it? Reinvest 50m and bank 30m for the expansion.

Isn't this what Mike Ashley used to do, make low ball offers for Good players to convince the fans he was doing something?

West Ham owners do it a fair bit as well - did it with Phillips and Raphinha in January

Come on Newcastle hurry up you only have another 23 members of the first team squad to make offers on before you reach Vestergaard and Bertrand.

He's worth far more than £50million in this market, and the way our recruitment has gone we'd be better keeping at any cost

They're taking the piss now.  They won't stump up the money that it will  take for us to sell them either Maddison or Barnes.  Something I have discovered today though, is that all of a sudden, there are alot of Newcastle fans that have gone all Billy Big Bollocks. Not a pretty sight!

Believe me, if they have any kind of success they’ll be more unbearable than the scousers. Don’t believe this “we just want to see a team with fight” bollocks, they were a right bunch of arrogant pricks when keegan was in charge, when they famously blew their 10 point lead at the top of the prem all those years back it was glorious.

Deffo take 50 million for Harvey. Great player on his day but far too inconsistent and frustrating to ever turn down that sort of money.

His numbers are very good. You’d need more than £50 million to guarantee replacing them. This is nonsense.
