Really feel for Barnes & Ricardo. Must be soul-crushing to realise your career aspirations are likely dead in the water. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ricardo using the rest of his contract to brush up his badges. Barnes on the other hand might only be a much-loved impact sub going forward. Sad all round.

Tbf both of them are sustained in a game. It’s how we manage them from here where we can’t afford to **** up again

And both were non contact….

Is Barnes injury the same knee as the one he had operated on when he missed the final 3 months of the 2020/21 season?

Yeah his left

I think its the same one, his left knee.

No signings and happy to rely on one winger to make our formation work, he predictably gets injured and now we'll going into the season with a back five (also no Ricardo option at wing back), disgusting.

Pretty much even less wide options now then.

I hate the fact I'm gonna turn up at the ground on Sunday and see Albrighton and Perez starting.

Neither of the injuries were impact, so seems very unfortunate. Something doesn't seem right with how many get injured on the pitch at the KP. Wasn't it relayed just before last season?

Yup, seems to be about 90% of our serious injuries happening at the KP.

Funny though that the opposition don't seem to sustain the same injuries when they visit.

WC reduces the amount of PL game Ricardo misses only 17 games between now and boxing day.

If its snapped like BR has said it has he wont be back until toward the end of the season.

6 months to recover and then it will be a good couple before he is ready.
