If they wanna use the excuse of wanting people to go with mobile tickets as opposed to physical tickets/season ticket cards to reduce their carbon footprint as an eco push and be more sustainable they couldn't then continue to justify clappers.

I'm sure that the clappers first made an appearance at the West Ham game towards the end of the 14/15 season.  We desperately needed a win and Andy King delivered the winning goal in a 2-1 win and the clappers have been an ever present since.

 

That game was the start of a significant upturn in form that saw us survive relegation, win the Premier League and the FA Cup.  Coincidence? I think not.

 

This is a sad day for the club and I now fear for the season.

They were first used for a playoff semi final against Watford. We won the first leg, you know the rest

This is it I reckon. The clappers have gone because they couldn’t survive the contradiction with the argument (which I don’t believe) that they are phasing out paper tickets for environmental reasons.

 

If they listened to fans they would have gone years ago. And the goal music would never have been brought back (or in at all, to be honest).
