volpeazzurro Posted 10 November 2022 Posted 10 November 2022 Another Perez, Bertrand, Vestergaard uninspiring useless type signing. Sooner have an unknown. If he's being kept out by Lookman, that's all you need to know. 2 1
Gamble92 Posted 28 November 2022 Posted 28 November 2022 Why on earth are we looking at him still? An article just come up saying we're back in for him in January. 0 in 21 games since joining Atalanta? What the **** is going on?

And we certainly shouldnt replace him with the player Lookman has replaced in the starting line up 7

And we certainly shouldnt replace him with the player Lookman has replaced in the starting line up Lookman is an OK player and we had no choice but to let him go, he wasn't ours and we couldn't afford to buy him. Which is probably just as well because he also would have been a fairly uninspiring signing. But yes, we shouldn't be within a million miles of Boga. I highly doubt we are now though to be honest. If the story has come back up I imagine it's just easy clickbait. 3

He'd have been a luxury and merely competition for Barnes which would have been nice, but we clearly haven't got money to burn. 1
FoxinNotts Posted 1 December 2022 Posted 1 December 2022 (edited) Just don't understand the logic in going for this guy. He's not a natural right hand side attacker. His stats are pretty poor. The deal has all the markings of a poor outcome for us! very confusing Edited 1 December 2022 by FoxinNotts 1
VLC86 Posted 1 December 2022 Posted 1 December 2022 Surely no chance we do this. Still hasn’t done anything for Atalanta and as above he turned us down. Can’t see it.
coolhandfox Posted 1 December 2022 Posted 1 December 2022 Why are still bleating on about this when there have been no new links for ages. 1

Le Renard Posted 9 December 2022 Posted 9 December 2022 Very good dribbler, but his end product needs improving. His stats for Sassuolo were pretty good under Roberto de Zerbi, and he wanted to take him to Shakhtar Donetsk, but I think Atalanta outbid them. So perhaps he needs the right coach to get the best out of him, can Rodgers do that, or will he consign him to the bench?
Ric Flair Posted 9 December 2022 Posted 9 December 2022 The problem with Boga is he's never going to be 1st choice on the left which he needs to be to get anywhere near that same level he briefly got to. Very much like Lookman, his output on the eight is nowhere near reliable enough and it would be history repeating itself of we opted for him as the solution for our weakness at RW.

Alway felt the Boga link was due to the injury to Barnes in the last game pre-season, a sort of term fix encase Barnes was out longer than expected. The fact we didn't secure Lookman in the summer tells me that the club really wants an RW rather than an LW who can do a job at RW. 2
Outfox the Fox Posted 12 December 2022 Posted 12 December 2022 https://football-italia.net/boga-ready-for-atalanta-departure-with-leicester-city-keen/ Could be on. A few mixed feelings here about him?
Stadt Posted 12 December 2022 Posted 12 December 2022 88% of top 5 league wingers have xG + xA per 90 stats. Swerve! Nicolas Gonzalez and Gabriel Strefezza are better options in Serie A.
Lambert09 Posted 12 December 2022 Posted 12 December 2022 I personally think people might be being bit over dramatic about this one. He obviously had something (22m is a huge fee for italy) we often get players that just simply don’t fit certain clubs and it sounds like that’s the case. As 3rd choice winger, i’d give him a chance. as the only rw signing…. that’s a big risk. Shame we wouldn’t have europa league to bed him in with though as he would need time ti settle after so long without football
Pliskin Posted 12 December 2022 Posted 12 December 2022 In a world full of fairly accessible attacking players, why do we always seem to be drawn to the worst ones? 1 1

This is groundhog day. I'd also only want Boga on loan with an option because there's more likelihood he doesn't do much than being a success. 2
