No we are not desperate enough to even consider Faes suddenly being good enough!!!

We are. He is still better than Okoli. The bar is that low.

Hilarious to think how expensive that selection is lol at league 1 level...

I’m worried about their ability as footballers to play in a possession based system. Faes is probably the best suited of the three but I’d be amazed if he stayed. Can see a world where all three leave.

Is it possible that within the squad he isn’t an issue, the issue is with the fans that he didn’t take kindly to criticism and reacted to it rather than knuckling down to prove them wrong. From people who have spoke to him and noises from within the camp he seems like a decent chap and no problem. I’d feel more secure with him in the team than Okoli.

A bit like everyone’s perception of Mav, he always looked a miserable ****er when playing, even when at his best under Enzo, some players are just like that, look like they hate the game when it’s probably just that’s how they keep themselves focused or “in the zone”. Man needs to go on the outside though, too predictable and easy to defend against, you saw the difference yesterday when Watson came on. Was he going on the outside under Enzo?

It doesn’t matter how good any of them are/think they are, if they’re not up for the fight or going in half-hearted, they and therefore the team won’t do very well.

Just remember like 3 weeks ago he played as a cb next to an 18/19 year old, ducked out of the way of a goal kick and made said 18/19 y/o make a kung fu tackle to save us in his own six yard box, which says so much about him as a player and bloke, hung Gray out to dry completely, don’t need to see him play for us again, maybe the only player I’d be happy to even loan out just so he is gone

Not so sure about that, given at times against league 2 opposition yesterday Okoli and Souttar looked absolutely woeful in possession.

He wasn't even on the bench yesterday. He's not injured, is he? Maybe RM isn't having him.

Out for personal reasons

I can’t stand the big stupid haired moron but I tell you something there is zero doubt that he is a better ball playing footballer than both Okoli and souttar put together

crap defender though so puts it all in perspective 😂

Pains me to say it, Wout is the better of the 3. They each have stupid mistakes in them.

Wouts issue is that he an utter ***t.

Definitely not better than Souttar. Souttar was great yesterday but unfortunately he made those 2 ridiculous decisions (smacked of arrogance/not caring), which are straight out of the Faes playbook, and obviously a big worry. Even on a good day, you wouldn't never see Faes so dominant over the opposition striker because he doesn't have the physical ability to do that.

In terms of ball playing, Souttar actually played about the only good line breaking passes in the game with a couple of lovely little clips over the top. Because of his size, he just looks awkward with the ball but he's plenty good enough with it

I can't believe that we all acknowledge that one of the major problems last season was high-wage nobheads who weren't playing for the shirt, and yet there are so many making the 'but he's the best footballer of the available options' argument.

How did that work out for us previously?

If they don't want to be here we need to get them out of the squad. That goes for any of them - Souttar, Mavididi, any of them.

We've got to stop the rot.

Might as well be prepared, We know they are both going to conceed a few Goals this season. So it won't be a shock when it happens.

They both got arrogant in possession in the 2nd half yesterday,  Which is a bad sign for us. Teams will target one or both of them in which case we need a plan ready for it. A deep lying FB along with the Keeper to provide an outlet.

Souttar is slow. Good with headers though. Wout has done plenty of line breaking passes.

I think that they each have enough flaws not to be great. Souttar has the added ability to play well in a deep block.

Sure, but there's a difference between playing them with a view to selling, and wanting them to form the backbone of this season's first team because they're the best in their position.

Give me a hungry player who'll die for the badge over a tosser who wants out.

The problem is they both make mistakes, but when Souttar does he acknowledges it, when Faes does he waves his arms around blaming everyone else.
