I’d play him with Souttar if we have to. 
 

However, ideally they all need to be replaced. That’s a massive rebuild and I’m now convinced we either want to, or are capable of doing that.

Then why have we rejected bids for him this summer. Almost 2 months of his final 12 gone that we've been paying him as well.

Probably one of our better defenders who isn't injured. Dont have to like the guy but if he can play and won't be sold then let's see him score some headers. He might give some away but he is  better then fooking okoli!

 

At this point,  its transactional and might get us stability at the back and him in the shop windows for January (unless someone takes a punt soon).

Sorry but he simply can't be anywhere near the set up. Too many actual fresh faces around for him to poison.

I would not have him any near the squad.  His ability is not the issue. He is probably on par with others. His attitude and commitment is the problem.

 

I don't want him waving his hands and blaming everyone around him. We have young lads and new players and they need to be given the chance to grow as a team.

 

Faes does not want to be here. I would also get rid of Okoli and Souttar. Souttar is not that bad but he is injury prone and the reality is we cannot afford to keep them. We are in League 1 and I do not believe we cannot find players to play at that level for a fraction of what we are paying.

Finally some sense in this thread. I know things are bad now but we cannot tolerate a rehabilitation and revision of Wout Faes image and ability.

The club have to bite the bullet and bring in more CB’s with the right profile and mentality for this league. We’ve known this for months. We can see what will continue to happen if we don’t make the changes needed, the answer isn’t going back to Faes FFS, times ticking.

Nail on the head, absolutely spot on however I really doubt we have the capability within the club to move out this number of players and bring in at least 4 or 5 more in the space of a week, I wait with baited breath and hope i am proved wrong.

What makes you guys think a player who's drowned all tools with the club, hasn't featured in weeks and is a major red flag for a majority of supporters is a better choice than two centre-backs that want out/the club wants to sell?

Its absolutely unfathomable that we haven't signed any centre backs in this window knowing that Nelson is out all season and the other 3 don't want to be here and aren't very good. 

 

A week left of the window and we need 3 centre backs, a cdm a competent keeper and a striker. I bet we dont get any

I dont like the guy and yes we know a lot of people dont care for his personality, ways etc. That said, if we are stuck with okoli and faes and have no other playable options then you would have to choose Faes over okoli at this level. Comes down to reality of who we have once the windows closes.

 

In an ideal world, we sell okoli and faes and bring in someone who isn't a ****, can defend and isn't on silly wages. That seems too much for our management to achieve and why we are where we are.

I actually like him. Irrespective of the actual football, he gets a lot of stick from the fans but he gives as good as he gets. I hope to see him giving a bit more of the old ear cup this season.
