KDH honest interview

Seen enough of him to know he's at the very worst a decent PL player, he's having that lull where he needs to not only refind what he's good at but show signs he can improve on his weaknesses too such as 1st touch, holding on to the ball too long and final pass.

 

You know a player has established himself here though when he starts getting criticised, the expectations are there and he needs to step it up.

Agreed but as someone else said, considering our lop sided formation of KDH, Barnes and Thomas - Newcastle were attacking down that side at will.

 

KDH when not being a water carrier and covering the yards is a very low end PL CM.

 

Last seasons KDH makes me have hope for him but he’s been below par more often than not this season.

Good player. But to take his game to the next level, he has to spend hours and hours on the training ground strengthening his right foot play.

 

He is currently too left footed and therefore restricted and predictable, turning in on himself constantly to get it into his left peg.

Was a breath of fresh air when introduced into the team.

Unfortunately he has stagnated and gets more credit than he should at times due to the fact he’s a local lad etc..

I’d rather he said we were shit than tried to flower things up. Because we were shit and I’m sure he includes himself in that assessment.

 

He’s called a spade a spade. No problems there.

 

Hopefully he plays a big part in a response at Liverpool on Friday. The talk only becomes cheap if it’s repeated week in week out.

If he is regressing then like Soyuncu, Ndidi et al this could be down to the coaching and being asked to play in a style that negates their natural strengths. Too many players are looking uncomfortable in our style of play and that is down to the manager and his backroom team, I honestly believe the players are being over coached and the obsession to play controlling possession based football is stifling too many of our players.

He seems very sincere but sadly words dont mean anything when there is no fight on the pitch from any of them. Losing is one thing but at least go down with a fight and nothing else left to give.

Yes I did. I spoke about people slagging off players that don't deserve it and somehow some players being teflon. KDH being a prime example.

Kiernan is not stupid, he knows his form has dropped off . Only Maddison, Castagne and Faes are playing at a level you would expect. However there is plenty of evidence that he along with others can do a lot better. They are certainly not bad players. The problem with many on here is they just won't accept our current mid table status. We are a team in transition and it will take time to regain , hopefully, our previous strength.

His one footedness will hold him back massively. He’s limited. However, the only player to show some fight yesterday (which is a quite simply shocking). It’s not great that he looked ‘okay’ because he put himself about, but it made his stand out from the rest of the side.
