If nothing else, he'll allow Thomas to step out of the firing line for some time and to work on his game in a way Chilwell did. He's had some good games for us but will suffer far more than the older players when the team is low on confidence.

 

 

Totally agree and, at the risk of being overly harsh, it'd  be staggering if he wasn't a huge improvement on Thomas. I think the scouting team would struggle to find a worse player (at least when Like is off it, ie 85% of the time)  even if they tried.  

 

Add to say, those occasional games Like had where it clicks, he's a very decent performaner
