Taking a chance on an unproven player for a reasonable fee, who may or may not be good, is massively preferable to signing provably awful, ‘experienced’ players in the hopes of ‘breathing new life into them’. That 15m spent on Vestergaard could’ve gone towards some random bastard who’d been tearing up the Slovakian league, and if it didn’t work out, then at least we’d be able to say “hey, we tried” rather than “we knew he was sh*t but just didn’t listen”. 2 1

The fact a danish blue tick has tweeted that it isn’t says more about it being leaked to keep us happy I reckon. Or Copenhagen are putting that out there to see if someone will gazump us to raise the price ….
