It wouldn't surprise me if we beat Liverpool as our players seem to rise more to the bigger games and think they're too good for the lesser opponents. Either that or we'll lose bravely!!

There is. And the main reason is no one is gripping this relegation battle. 
 

Everton are likely to pick up points over the next two games, however, Leeds and Forest aren’t. 
 

Our goal difference is worth an extra point, so if we can rally together a muster up a win on the next two games, it could see us out of the relegation zone by the final game. Which is where we need to aim to be.

 

Theres bound to be twists and turns along the way losing 5-3 to Fulham seems like an absolute disaster, however it could be the painful reality check they need…

 

It seems impossible now, because of the manner of that defeat, but if forest and Leeds, lose their next games no ground is gained.
 

You have to look at it subjectively to stay sane. If there’s one this this club has taught us, is it’s capable of pulling a stupid result out of nowhere…..

 

Its going down to the final day, we just somehow need to try and end up 17th prior to kick off to have an advantage.

Well to be honest I thought Everton were certs a couple of games ago, so there is still the glimmer of hope that we can regain form.

Personally think we will be relegated before we play West Ham so yes all hope is lost for me.

Sadly I voted no, all hope is lost because we have not been fit all season, we can't defend and our midfield continually gets overrun.

It isn’t over until it’s mathematically impossible in my eyes. 
 

You know what, our players didn’t become terrible overnight.

 

They have the ability to beat any team on a given day, including Manchester City as we’ve previously shown.

 

We just need those extra 1%’s to fall on our favour. 
 

Is is looking likely, no.

Is it possible, defiantly yes.

 

I’m itching for the next game to be now. I just hope the players are as well, so they can go out and sort this out.

but what if we could beat Liverpool and play out our skin. Done it before. Yeah, we have. If we play like we used to and maybe Fulham game was a slap in the face they need. Maybe I’m wrong…

The chances of us being relegated prior to the final day are slim…

 

Everton are likely to lose to Man City, Leeds are likely to lose to Newcastle and Forest are likely to lose to both Chelsea and Man City. 
 

Out of all of the top clubs, Liverpool aren’t a bad team to have to play, they give up chances and on their day have a stinker in them. 
 

We’ve always had one big result in us, and it could well be on Monday. 
 

It is easy to sit there and say it won’t happen, but no matter how poor we have been this season, it is still foolish to write us off. 
 

The battle has been swinging every weekend, no one has gained an advantage, and both Forest and Leeds are unlikely to still, and even Everton are unlikely to as well considering they’ve got to play Man City next……

 

If we could shithouse a win against Liverpool, we will likely be out of the bottom three, and it all flips again. 
 

All that matters is we gain some kind of advantage before West Ham, and that’s what Smith will be focusing on, our goal difference is an extra point. There’s something to cling onto and that’s all you need in football.

In my fantasy world yes, back in the real world No.

 

Based on recent results against our relegation rivals, the lack of effort and atrocious performance at Craven Cottage, it's a No, when we get pumped by Liverpool and then Newcastle it should be clear and those with glimpses of hope can come to terms with it, I see nothing in our team, fight wise, or the manager set up of the team to feel any different, hope I'm wrong by the way.

I’ve said I have lost hope but realistically we all have that moment making the morning coffee or taking a shower where we think oh, what if. Imagining that goal at KP where we Nick a win. Surely. 
 

It’s very hard to maintain faith in this team. They’ve failed so many times when needed. They lack so many qualities players of lesser ability and on considerably less many had in abundance. And we are stuck with them for the next 3 absolutely crucial games. 
 

I hope we do have a very nice surprise in the next two and past Leicester teams may have done it. But I just think these guys are just too weak.

It's not over until its over - stranger things have happened. As much as Monday felt like the biggest kick in the balls ever and automatic relegation, one win (whilst highly unlikely) against either Liverpool or Newcastle swings the pendulum right back in our favour, so we effectively have two free hits to salvage something. I know it's really hard to be optimistic at the moment but we need to hang in there and hope for a miracle, and I absolutely refuse to give up until it's confirmed.
