I prefer to celebrate success.

Oh don't be such a self-righteous mardy bum.

We'd all prefer to celebrate success, but in the absence of success, celebrating the avoidance of total failure would be the next best thing!

If a pitch invasion is pre planned then it's not done out of emotion is it.

This is why I don't get them. Every team does it and they're so forced.

If theres 60 seconds of the 10 minutes of injury time left, we know everton have not won, and its 0-0 V West Ham, then Maddisson puts Vardy through one-on-one and he bury's it, i'd hazzard a guess that even people with 8 walking sticks will invade the pitch.

60 seconds is factually long enough for us to concede at least twice in added time ……

The only reason we should be on the pitch IF we stay up is to demonstrate what a pathetic and woeful season it has been. To protest the total mismanagement of the team and the club and the devastating mistakes and incompetence that have been made.

Nope. Only L1 and 10% of the Kop have got it in them.

Would look pathetic with less than 1500 people on the pitch as opposed to half the ground.

Not a ****ing chance. This absolute shambles of a season is a disgrace and nothing to celebrate, even if by some miracle we survive.

I would honestly rather see us relegated and rebuild, than have to endure another season like this again.

Easier to rebuild with Premier League money than with Championship cutbacks surely?

Some people love them but for me pitch invasions are the most overrated thing in football, particularly since phones and social media have become so big.

This.

Also, aren't pitch invasions supposed to be spontaneous outpourings of joy? Here we are five days before with threads basically doing a pitch invasion roll call. It's like people only want us to survive so they can get on the grass.

The club will be anticipating this, too, so if you think the security at home games is populous now, just wait till Sunday.

I don't understand people who say it would be embarrassing to celebrate staying up. Of course it's not where we wanted to be or should be this season and if the players had put some more efgort in or decisions to sack the manager had been made earlier we might not be in this position.

However staying up is huge for the club and would put us in a much better position next season than being relegated would.

So I'm not going to be having a massive party or celebrating like we won the league but if we stay up I will be very happy, excited and will celebrate!

1. It'll be heavily policed Sunday.

2. If we do stay up it shouldn't turn into a staying up party. Nor should People stay behind and clap for a the lap of 'honour'.

Did 2. once, and realised its not for us, its for them & "they"  certainly don't need to be congratulated or celebrated for the disaster they created this season.

And if they weren't certain on that, even Sky commentary said that with the quality we have what are we doing down there.

If we stay up it'll be bittersweet, but I'm sure I'll celebrate that 'in the moment'. Then they can all p**s off and we can have our summer reset and hope and pray the right people are in place to sort it and make us competitive again.

Else if we're going down, no celebration on the day for sure! But looking forward to the challenge and being involved in a promotion push, hopefully. Let's just hope it isn't the start of a downward spiral, rather whatever happens, it's the end of one.
