Could lose the likes of Tyler Adams and Roca as well Not sure who they’re going to be left with, and doesn’t leave many funds to refresh their squad. Guess they’re hoping they can bounce back and then the players return. Seems a risk though….

They're going to have to buy or at least loan players in to replace those they are letting go on loan. So even if they aren't in immediate need of raising funds, it doesn't make much sense.

All the wages paid for a year with the hope of instant return and having all those players back is their obvious aim. Unlike our owners who have always only ever spent what the club accumulate in transfer sales, they'll probably go for it a bit more.

I think both will end up being great signings for different reasons. IF Southampton keep Ward-Prowse then they don’t need that much experience. The more I think about it the more I think our 2 signings so far were needed just for experience / professionalism. 1
