Marky mark Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Generally thought 2-3 years ago he’d end up at Barca or one of Europes big uns - his fall from Grace is startling get em gone 2

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Shame he just wasn’t the player he was and his performances have ‘fell off a cliff’. That said, they have a bargain if they can restore him to his previous self. Doesn’t fit our system now, can be a liability - especially in the penalty area - and he will be at AFCON too this year. Maybe our replacement is Casadei anyway 2
coolhandfox Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 We can't let him walk for free in the summer, sell reinvest.
splinterdream Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 If we get a fee, and Enzo thinks he can use that in a positive way on another player then yes, but Ndidi in the squad, as much as I'm not a massive fan, will still be very useful to our season for closing down games, but if we are trying to be the man City of the championship, do we need a defensive mid like wilf?

Drink Water Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Forest getting Leicester's sloppy seconds, love it

Midfield will be Winks, Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall and Choudhury. More than enough there.
Levi Port Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Everyone’s been shit for ages untill this season not just Wilf. Good deal for both. Was sensational for us in the past and it would be incredibly unfair to forget it. 2
Langston Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Imperious for us for ages but the past two seasons has been a genuine hindrance. I can see why Forest might see the value at that price but I think he's done.
Lionator Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 That’s a crazy amount of money for somebody of his (lack of) ability. Great player back in the day but blimey.
Lesta2014 Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Have seen reports of we want 3 in and maybe more if people leave, wonder if wilf is one who of leaves we replace?

I wouldn't think it is, especially if we lose Praet as well - neither of Winks or Choudhury could play in that advanced 8 role Casadei and KDH on their own is not enough for the season for the two 8 positions, we could probably use McAteer as well but I would not be happy going into the season with just that
Mike Oxlong Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 If Wilf goes we’ll be in a position to sign Cattermole
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Dear Steve Cooper. Wilf is fab. Brilliant first touch, lighting quick, tremendous eye for goal, and the best passer of the ball in the Championship without doubt. You're onto a winner. We'd be mad to let him go.
bovril Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Good deal for us. Really disappointing how his form dropped off. I think he probably deserves to be remembered more fondly than he will be. 2

KFS Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 He won’t play the Winks role and he’s not good enough to be the right sided 8. Shame this didn’t come about before Hamer went Sheff U. @Ric Flair who would you replace him with who could cover both roles and be ok sitting on the bench?
Levi Port Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Must have seen his finish against Burton and convinced themselves he’s got that one in the locker.

The_77 Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 This deal must have been in the works since January, when he wimped out of a challenge leading to a Forest goal at the City Ground.

Mike Oxlong Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Peak Wilf was very good, particularly as Kante was almost an impossible act to follow 1
